The official cause of death for the Suzanne Somers has been revealed.

The Blast obtained a copy of her death certificate, which confirmed she had succumbed to breast cancer that had spread to her brain.

An autopsy was not conducted, but a biopsy determined that Suzanne Somers had died due to breast cancer, which had spread to her brain.

According to the death certificate, additional contributing factors included hypertension and hydrocephalus.

On Oct. 15, after a prolonged struggle with cancer, Suzanne, star of "Three's Company," passed away at home in peace.

On what would have been her 77th birthday on Oct. 18, her family gathered to honor her memory; those present included husband Alan Hamel and son Bruce Somers.

"Thank you for the outpouring of love and affection for Suzanne," the family captioned the sweet video on Suzanne's Instagram.

"So many of you have asked what you can do to support our family. The most comforting gesture for us is to hear how Suzanne affected all of your lives."

In honor of Suzanne, her family encouraged people to take to social media and share all their cherished memories and stories of how she changed their lives. They also set up a particular tribute book on SuzanneSomers.com for anyone wishing to pay respect.

"She soared higher than most can dream," Suzanne's husband wrote in part via Instagram.

"She protected those who didn't have a voice. She asked the questions most didn't know to ask."

Alan elaborated, "She was a friend, a wife, a sister, a daughter, an entertainer, an icon, and a legend. But to me, she was just Mom. I was the only person who could call her that."

In 2000, after being diagnosed with breast cancer, actress and stepmom Stephen and Leslie Hamel, as well as grandmother to six grandkids, Suzanne underwent a lumpectomy and radiation.

Choosing not to go through with chemotherapy treatment, she announced in 2007 that she was, in fact, cancer-free, according to an interview given with the Los Angeles Times.

In July 2020, she took to social media to tell her followers of the return of her cancer. Suzanne was forthright in her message and reassured people that she had been there before.

"I have faced breast cancer two decades ago - which has now returned - so I'm already well-equipped for battle," she wrote confidently. "I'm prepared with a combination of conventional and alternative treatments and am determined to knock it out."
