"Saturday Night Live" announced its musical guest and host for next week and its going to be Boygenius and Timothee Chalamet!

Chalamet will be the fourth host of this season, following Pete Davidson, Bad Bunny, and very recently, Nate Bargatze.

Boygenius in Saturday Night Live

According to Billboard, this is the first time that Boygenius will be performing together as a group in Saturday Night Live.

Phoebe Bridgers has performed on Saturday Night Live before but only as a solo musical guest in 2021.

This would mark the first performance for both Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker.

The announcement for their upcoming performance stint on Saturday Night Live came weeks after the band announced "The Rest," their newest extended play.

The band's debut album, "The Record," debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 albums chart last April 2023.

Currently, "The Record" is one of the projected nominees for Album of the Year at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

"We were told, if we were lucky, maybe we were going to break top 10. And then it was, actually, maybe we could break top five. And the fact that it's [No. 4] is cool," Dacus told Billboard at the time when they caught the news of their chart debut. "We celebrated by playing the songs."

Boygenius followed Foo Fighters who performed as last week's musical guest, Bad Bunny, and Ice Spice, on the weeks before.

Timothee Chalemet on Saturday Night Live

Timothee Chalamet, on the other hand, is no stranger to "Saturday Night Live," like Phoebe Bridgers.

He has famously hosted in 2020, playing a bit as Harry Styles being interviewed by Ego Nwodim's Dionne Warwick.

Fans have expressed their delight seeing the band and Chalamet hosting the show. Check out the comments below.
