Broadway royalties Aaron Tveit and Sutton Foster will be partners in crime as they were recently cast in "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber on Fleet Street" on Broadway.
The power duo will be replacing Josh Groban and Annaleigh Ashford in their Tony-nominated roles on Broadway when they take their final bow in 2024.

According to Variety, Tony-winning actors Aaron Tveit and Sutton Foster will be serving pies and shaving people on Fleet Street in 2024.
The two powerhouse actors were cast as Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovette on "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber on Fleet Street."
They will be replacing exiting original revival cast members Josh Groban and Annaleigh Ashford as they take their final bows on Jan. 14, 2024. However, they won't be assuming the roles until Feb. 9, 2024.
Their involvement on the show, however, is of limited time only too as they will only be there 12 weeks later, taking their final bow on May 5, 2023.
The 2023 revival production of "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber on Fleet Street" was directed by "Hamilton's" Thomas Kail at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.
"There's a new deadly duo in town - Fleet Street is honored to welcome Aaron Tveit as Sweeney Todd and Sutton Foster as Mrs. Lovett beginning February 9. #AttendTheTale," a photo of the two was posted on Sweeney Todd's official Instagram account.
However, not everyone was thrilled with the casting decision, especially on Tveit. Sweeney Todd, who is played by a Baritone, gets a Tenor singer from Tveit.
"Well f*ck every bass and baritone now right? Let's just keep giving tenors roles. Whatever," a user shared on Instagram.
"i lowkey hate this but i will wait to see what they bring to the table before i judge first," another commented.
"Stop giving baritone roles to tenors," someone asked. "As a baritone, this is highly offensive. I don't need my Sweeney Todd to have straight tones with no vibrato."
'Sweeney Todd' on Broadway
"Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber on Fleet Street" received eight nominations at the 2023 Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Performance for Josh Groban and Annaleigh Ashford. However, they only managed to take home two Tonys - Best Lighting Design and Best Sound Design.
