FIFTY FIFTY To Debut 3 New Members After Messy Legal Battle Against Record Label

KPOP girl group FIFTY FIFTY used to be made up of four members, Keena, Sio, Saena, and Aran, however after a particularly nasty legal battle against their record label, ATTRAKT, and now they will be replaced.

According to reports, ATTRAKT will be debuting the girl group with three new members along with Keena under the new name FIFTY FIFTY Generation 2.

This comes several weeks after three former members, Saena, Sio, and Aran, ended their contracts with the record label.

FIFTY FIFTY Continue With New Members

FIFTY FIFTY's record label slash talent agency ATTRAKT revealed their future plans for the KPOP group.

"We plan to reorganize FIFTY FIFTY centering around Keena, who recently returned [to the agency]. We will recruit three new members and form a four-member group," ATTRAKT wrote in a statement.

They catapulted to success following the release of their viral hit song "Cupid." The four-membered group debuted with the song and it landed them atop the music charts and was even included in the "Barbie" movie official soundtrack.

They are one of the most popular KPOP groups, coming after BTS, BLACKPINK, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, and Twice.

FIFTY FIFTY, ATTRAKT Legal Battle

According to reports, the legal battle began when the four members sued their label, in which FIFTY FIFTY is requesting to terminate their contract due to the label violating the existing contract.

However, it became something bigger when it was revealed that the "Cupid" producer Ahn Sung Il about a "buyout" with the group's members and Warner Music Korea. ATTRAKT announced that they will file a lawsuit against the company as they tried to pursue and persuade FIFTY FIFTY members to leave their label and jump ship.

Warner Music Korea denied the allegations.

FIFTY FIFTY and ATTRAKT's legal battle continues as the members accuse the label of incompetence as well as withholding the royalties of their hit song.

Reports even say that FIFTY FIFTY might be in danger of being blacklisted from the KPOP industry, and while the group attempts to separate themselves from ATTRAKT and carry on as FIFTY FIFTY, they are sorely disappointed.

According to reports, three members decided to end their contracts as ATTRAKT won their legal dispute and the label will push through with one remaining original member and add three more new members.
