The 2024 Grammy Awards will be held this coming February 2024, and music fans' couldn't wait anymore before the nominations were announced. The Recording Academy will announce the official 2024 Grammy Awards nominees on Nov. 10, 2023, in a livestreamed ceremony.

Meanwhile, several publications have released their official prediction list for the 2024 Grammy Awards nominees. Rolling Stone, one of the most trusted music publications in the world, issued their own list.

Check out their predictions for the Big 4 of the 2024 Grammy Awards:

2024 Grammy Awards Nominations Best New Artist Predictions

According to SiriusXM's Vice President of Music Programming Alex Tear, Ice Spice is pressed to win the award. Before even releasing her debut album, Ice Spice managed to secure four different songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, one of those was from Taylor Swift, while two of those were with Nicki Minaj.

"She's an artist's artist," he said of the young female rapper "Ice Spice fits so many cool things, from the fashion to the voice to multiformat to the mass appeal."

However, Rolling Stone predicts that Gracie Abrams might win the category, but it will be a close fight among Ice Spice, Peso Pluma, Coco Jones, NewJeans, Raye, Noah Kahan, and Peso Pluma.

2024 Grammy Awards Nominations Song of the Year Predictions

Garnering the most submissions this year with 642 songs, the Song of the Year category is one of the most awaited awards of the night.

In all likelihood, giants like Miley Cyrus (Flowers), Lil Durk and J.Cole (All My Life), Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves (I Remember Everything), Morgan Wallen (Last Night), Rihanna (Lift Me Up), Olivia Rodrigo (Vampire), Taylor Swift (Anti-Hero) and SZA (Kill Bill) are going to fight off for the Gramophone.

However, the publication feels that although SZA deserves to win with "SOS," Apple Music Global Editorial Head of Hip-Hop and R&B believes that "when it comes to Grammy voting, I don't know if SZA has the cachet and the relationships that Taylor has."

2024 Grammy Awards Nominations Record of the Year Predictions

Unlike Song of the Year, the Record of the Year recognizes the performers and engineers of the track. It amassed the second-highest submissions this year with 615 songs.

Rolling Stone believes that SZA should also win the category with "Kill Bill." Hot 99.5 Program Director Rob Kruz believes so too. However, Sirius XM's Tear sides with Cyrus' "Flower," pointing out that the song stayed on their playlist "for months and months. People just aren't getting tired of it."

Taylor Swift (Anti-Hero), Luke Combs (Fast Car), Olivia Rodrigo (Vampire), Morgan Wallen (Last Night), Ed Sheeran (Eyes Closed), and Travis Scott (Meltdown) are expected to fill the nominee list.

2024 Grammy Awards Nominations Album of the Year Predictions

Right off the bat, Rolling Stone says that the most likely frontrunners were SZA's "SOS" and Taylor Swift's "Midnights." However, there are huge likely contenders for the top category of the night.

Olivia Rodrigo's "Guts" is tossed into the mix, with experts noting that her not winning with "Sour" can be a good set-up for her win this year. Foo Fighters' "But Here We Are" is also in the mix. The publication noted that Grammy voters, the most unpredictable people on earth, could give it to them after seeing "such a terrible tragedy into an artistic triumph."

However, they still believe SZA should win with "SOS" but Taylor Swift's "Midnights" is the obvious standout, which could earn Swift's fourth Album of the Year win, making her the most awarded performer in the said category in Grammy history.

Gunna (A Gift & A Curse), Lana Del Rey (Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd), Morgan Wallen (One Thing At A Time), and Boygenius (The Record), are also primed to be nominated on the said category.
