Gene Simmons opened up about KISS' future after its End of the Road Tour.
KISS scheduled the band's farewell tour in January 2019, but the pandemic led them to put the show on hold before moving it to its current dates. The group will have the last stop at Madison Square Garden in December.
Will KISS Disband?
On Wednesday, November 15, Simmons told Rolling Stone that the final stop of their End of the Road tour is surely the band's last.
"My hand on the Bible," he said. "And I should know because my people wrote that book. In fact, my people also wrote the follow-up book, the New Testament. And so I'll say right here, right now, my hand on the Bible, it will be the final Kiss-in-makeup appearance."
The KISS frontman shared a similar sentiment in his interview with Dan Savoie of 519 magazine this week, during which he clarified that the tour is "the end of the road for the band, not the brand."
Simmons explained that KISS is immortal, but he also added that it's the end of touring.

KISS' Brand To Continue Burning
To explain the band's status, Simmons said KISS would live on in different ways.
"Yes, that's being planned. It'll also be four to ten different traveling shows," he continued. "So, you'll be able to be in Japan and have Japanese actors, musicians being us, and at the same time you could go to Vegas or New York or London."
Simmons was also asked about a possible one-off show in the future, and he told Rolling Stone that his bandmates would surely love to play some shows.
However, they reportedly could not hold a show if they play while sitting down because "KISS members do not sit down" in their shows unlike what other musicians did.
