2023 Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade Boycotts, Issue

Among the bigger boycotts this year for the 2023 Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade came from a petition that One Million Moms have launched on social media. The said petition protests the inclusion of LGBTQ+ performers on the parade, calling the annual festivity a "non-binary and transgender extravaganza."

GLAAD Media President Sarah Ellis slammed the petition that has claimed over 30,000 signatures nationwide.

"LGBTQ performers in the Thanksgiving Day parade are nothing new, and neither are the desperate pleas for attention and random attacks against inclusion from the One Million Moms project of designated hate group American Family Association," she said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the parade has been halted by Pro-Palestine protestors, chanting and demonstrating along Sixth Avenue near 34th Street. The demonstrations are protests against the US government helping Israel over the Palestine conflict in the Middle East. (via ABC)
