The speculation surrounding the elimination of Harry Jowsey from Dancing with the Stars has prompted Robert Mills, the Vice President of Alternative Series at ABC Studios, to question whether Swifties, Taylor Swift's devoted fan base, were indeed responsible for his exit.

Reacting to reports that Taylor's fans collaborated to vote off the reality TV star and his dancing partner Rylee Arnold due to Jowsey's Instagram connection with Scooter Braun, Mills shared a US Sun headline on X, formerly Twitter, expressing doubt about the fan-driven elimination, per the Daily Mail.

Harry, known for "Too Hot to Handle," faced low scores in previous weeks and was eventually eliminated, seemingly due to his association with Scooter in the ongoing feud with Taylor.

Despite dancing to Taylor's song "August" and expressing admiration for the artist, Harry's allegiance to Braun, evident through Instagram follows, sparked the ire of Swifties.

What Did Harry Jowsey Do?

During the episode, Harry Jowsey proclaimed himself a "massive Taylor Swift fan," and his dance partner, Rylee, strategized to avoid criticisms of his dance style.

The judges scored them 30 out of 40, which was insufficient to shield them from the backlash of Taylor's fans.

Swifties' Wrath

On social media, Swifties discouraged others from voting for Harry, emphasizing his status as a "Scooter Braun fan and follower."

Calls circulated to vote for other contestants and avoid supporting Harry due to his Instagram connections.

One person said on X, per the Mirror, "SWIFTIES FRIENDLY REMINDER THAT HARRY JOWSEY FOLLOWS SCOOTER ON INSTAGRAM AND IS A FAN OF HIM SO LETS MAKE SURE HE GOES HOME TONIGHT AND TO VOTE FOR XOCHITL OR JASON OR CHARITY OR ARIANA OR ALYSON OR ARIANA BY TEXTING THEIR NAME AT 21523."

Scooter Braun vs. Taylor Swift

The longstanding feud between Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun became public when the latter acquired Big Machine Records in 2019, leading the Grammy award-winning singer to accuse him of being a "manipulative bully" and expressing her surprise at the deal.

The "Anti-Hero" singer, displeased with the control Scooter and Scott Borchetta exerted over her early catalog, announced her intention to re-record her first six albums, known as "Taylor's Versions."
