Morgan Wallen has continued to shock the public because of the magnitude of the impact he has on country music. In Variety's 2023 Hitmakers Top 25 Songs of 2023, he reigns atop other pop and rap artists, including Taylor Swift and SZA.
Morgan Wallen's "Last Night" emerged as the Top Song of 2023 while SZA's Grammy-nominated song "Kill Bill" follows suit, Miley Cyrus' "Flowers" clinched the third, Zach Bryan's "Something In The Orange" is at No. 4, while Luke Combs' "Fast Car" placed fifth.

Surprisingly, Taylor Swift's "Anti-Hero" doesn't appear until the sixth spot. It's quite surprising considering how huge Taylor Swift has been in this 2023 - "The Eras" Tour, the concert film, among many other accomplishments and feats. (via Variety)
Morgan Wallen's "You Proof" sits at No. 7, while The Weeknd and Ariana Grande's remix of "Die For You" is at No. 8. Rounding out the ninth and tenth spot is Eslabon Armado f/Peso Pluma's "Ella Baila Sola," making it the only Latin music at the top 10, and finally, SZA's second entry to the Top 10, "Snooze." This further cements that SZA is worthy of being honored as Variety's 2023 hitmaker of the year.
PinkPantheress and Ice Spice's sensational "Boys A Liar Pt. 2" fell short of a spot of the Top 10 at No. 11, Rema and Selena Gomez's "Calm Down" sits at No. 12, while another Morgan Wallen Record, "Thinking of Me" placed at No. 13.
Metro Boomin's mega collaboration with The Weeknd & 21 Savage lands at No. 14, while Bailey Zimmerman's "Rock and a Hard Place" closes at No. 15.
Nos. 16 to No. 20 go to Taylor Swift's "Cruel Summer," Toosi's "Favorite Song," Morgan Wallen's "Wasted On You" "Thought You Should Know" and Miguel's "Sure Thing."
Another Metro Boomin' record "Superheroes & Villains" cops the No. 21st spot with Future and Chris Brown, while Drake & 21 Savage's "Rich Flex," Miguel's "La Bebe/remix" and Morgan Wallen's "One Thing at a Time" rounds the last few spots of the list.
In total, Metro Boomin, 21 Savage, SZA, and Taylor Swift all occupied two spots each, but Morgan Wallen had six songs in the year-ender list.
