Lenny Kravitz sat down with Esquire and candidly shared information about things that happened and are currently happening in his life-from his upcoming studio album to an unwanted sexual encounter when he was a teenager.

"It was an experience and a lesson," the musician slash actor said in his interview. "Everything doesn't have to be so...

"I'm not saying that there aren't things that deserve to be addressed - maybe somebody would say it should have been addressed and that it was, whatever, but that's the time it was," he said. "I lived, and I learned. I wasn't traumatized," he continued.

According to reports, the incident was shared in Kravitz's 2020 memoir, "Let Love Rule." He recalled that a family friend entered his room and got into bed, which eventually led to the encounter.

While he denied being traumatized, he did admit it was uncomfortable and it might have led him to have trouble with intimacy, as well as an aversion to convincing or coercing people.

Elsewhere in his interview, he talked about his relationships; "I put some people through some hard times."

However, he also reflected on his self-improvement since then; "I've grown enough. I've become stronger. I've become more disciplined.

"I've become more open to be able to do so. But it's been a very difficult thing for me to figure out."

The musician is currently single and is busy with his upcoming album, which would be his first release in five years.

Lenny Kravitz's New Album 'Blue Electric Light'

According to reports, the Grammy Award-winning star unveiled a new era to his discography by releasing "TK421," the first single off his upcoming album, "Blue Electric Light."

What caught people's attention was not only the brand new song which signaled Kravitz's return to the music scene, but also the not-suitable-for-work (NSFW) music video.

The new album boasts Kravitz playing all the instruments himself; he also wrote and recorded the entire album by himself in the Bahamas.

Following the roll-out of music comes the singer's next music release, "I Belive in Love Again" which features Peggy Gou.

"Blue Electric Light" will be released on Mar. 15, 2024. As of this writing, the singer is yet to release another single following his first one, which was a nod to the famous "Star Wars" film franchise.
