Tyla has been taking over the internet and the world of music with her viral hit "Water" which had millions of listeners in major music platforms and people have also been using it for a trending dance craze.
Now that the South African singer will release her first-ever album in a few months, people have been wondering which artists will appear in the tracklist.
According to Delta News, Tyla just teamed up with Travis Scott for the remix version of "Water" and now that she was able to collaborate with a major artist, she expressed her desire to feature another rapper soon.
In an interview with Trevor Noah for Interview Magazine, the singer recalled how the feature happened, saying it happened almost in an instant as it began through a DM.
Tyla Wants to be the Biggest Pop Star of Her Generation
Elsewhere in the conversation, Tyla revealed her major plans for her career, which included taking over the music industry.
"I'm shocked. It doesn't feel real yet. But I want to be the biggest pop star of my generation. That's always been the goal, and it still is," she explained.
In addition, she also revealed she wanted to collaborate with Drake soon and she won't stop until it finally happens.
"I really want to work with Drake. I'm going to say that in every single interview until he makes it happen," she said.
Tyla Considers Rihanna as a Big Inspiration to her Career
Tyla, who had been nominated for a Grammy Award, later credited Rihanna for inspiring her as both of them came outside of the United States but still managed to break through.
She explained that Rihanna's story of coming from Barbados and taking her music into the international scene made her feel like her dream was "achievable."
"It's not something that happens every day for us. My whole family wanted to be stars and it didn't happen for them," she said.
Tyla's first-ever album will be released on March 1, 2024. In addition, she will also drop a new EP. Regarding what fans should expect from her music, she noted that they will hear "new era of pop music that incorporates the African sound."
In addition to a new record, Tyla will also be going on her first world tour which will begin in March.
