Demi Lovato revealed that she was nervous about her MTV Video Music Awards performance, however, all her worries melted away when she saw who was cheering for her in the crowd.
"You know, who I saw cheering me on was Taylor Swift and Kelsea Ballerini. I was nervous going out there and once I saw people in the audience cheering me on, I was like, 'OK, I can do this.'" the "Give Your Heart a Break" singer told Jennifer Hudson during her appearance at "The Jennifer Hudson Show."
She then added that she eventually started enjoying herself onstage, especially since she performed the rock version of some of her greatest hits, "Sorry Not Sorry," "Heart Attack," and "Cool for the Summer."
"It was so much fun, I had such a great time, I got to perform revamped versions of my songs, so rock versions of some of my biggest hits," Lovato added.
Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift's Alleged Feud
Lovato giving the "You Belong With Me" singer a shout-out was a monumental moment for fans, because the pair had an alleged feud going on between them several years ago.
According to reports, the first sign of bad blood between Lovato and Swift was in 2010 when the paparazzi asked the "Skyscraper" singer about Selena Gomez, to which she shortly replied, "Ask Taylor."
Many suspected that the singer slash actress became jealous of Swift's friendship with Gomez; however, neither artist has confirmed nor denied that there is drama going on between them.
Another feud came when Lovato sided with Scooter Braun, her manager, and supported him in 2019-which was the time Swift had a major beef with the celebrity manager, who acquired her first six albums' masters from Big Machine Records.

"Love that the quotes are just fans from both fandoms showing support to both of them as we all should since they're both great artists," a fan wrote.
"Taylor will always be the one cheering everyone on," another added.
"Mothers."
