Nicki Minaj Shatters Streaming Chart Records, ‘Pink Friday 2’ To Debut #1 on Billboard 200

Nicki Minaj has continued to establish that she is a hitmaker and a timeless artist. Her highly-awaited "Pink Friday 2" has arrived and people all over the country couldn't help but stream it since it was released.

The earworm of an album had broken several records on streaming and on iTunes, besting Minaj's own personal records and setting the bar even higher, which is very much like a Queen's behavior.

Only a matter of hours after it arrived on streaming platforms, "Pink Friday 2" has already topped the US Top Albums Chart of iTunes. Leading the way is her collaboration with Drake, "Needle," which scored her 41st No. 1 song on the platform.

In effect, all of her songs from the said album had occupied the spots of the Top 70 of iTunes as nine of them are in the Top 10 of Top US Songs.

To date, Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday 2" is the only album on Apple Music by a female rapper in 5 years to have ten of its songs peak within the top 10 of the platform. The last one was Cardi B's "Invasion of Privacy." The album has also received global acclaim as it was the first female rap album to reach #1 in 75 countries worldwide on Apple Music.

Over to Spotify, Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday 2" has now officially broken the record for the biggest debut for a female hip-hop album in Spotify history with 28.2 million streams, surpassing Doja Cat's "Planet Her" debut

Among the standout tracks of the album were "Everybody (ft. Lil Uzi Vert," "Needle (ft. Drake," "Are You Gone Already," "Pink Friday Girls," "Bbam Bbam," and "Big Difference." "Everybody" is currently the No. 1 song on the US Apple Music Top Songs Chart.

Nicki Minaj 'Pink Friday 2' Billboard 200 Chart Debut

Reports reveal that Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday 2" has already amassed more than 500,000 units for RIAA Certification. This included the sold units of her previously released singles from the albums - "Super Freaky Girl" and "Red Ruby Da Sleaze." With this monumental feat, the album can now be certified Gold by the RIAA.

Meanwhile, Hits Daily Double has already projected that "Pink Friday 2" will be debuting at the top of the Billboard 200 chart. However, the estimated number of album-equivalent units is only at the 100-200k mark based on the first few days of release.

If all goes well, "Pink Friday 2" could surpass Lauryn Hill's "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" debut units of 422,000 album-equivalent units, the most for a female rapper on its first-week debut.
