Taylor Swift Makes Big Move For Tennesee Tornado Relief Fund – Details

Taylor Swift has always been generous when it comes to humanitarian endeavors. During her "The Eras" Tour in the United States, she partnered with each city's primary hunger relief organization and gave a sizable donation without much fanfare.

This charitable trait of hers has continued despite "The Eras" tour at pause.

Taylor Swift Donates To Tennesee Tornado Relief Fund

According to a press release by the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, Taylor Swift has donated to those who were significantly impacted by the catastrophic tornadoes that tore through mid-Tennessee over the weekend. (via USA Today)

Swift made a huge donation amounting to $1 million to the said organization.

Reportedly, the storm claimed the lives of six people, leaving dozens of people hurt and millions of dollars in damages. The National Weather Service said at the time that the tornado spanned an 11-mile trek with gushing winds running at 150 miles per hour.

Towns like Gallatin, Hendersonville, and Madison were also affected. Tennessee is a state that Taylor Swift holds close to her heart because this was where her music origins started. She began pursuing her music career in the said state over twenty years ago, even attending Hendersonville High School.

Fast forward to today, Swift has been reported by Forbes to have amassed a billion net worth - thanks particularly to her whopping ticket sales from "The Eras" Tour, her multi-mullion music sales, and the revenue of "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" in cinemas nationwide and globally.

"The Swifts found their original Tennessee home in Hendersonville and Sumner County and remain deeply committed to its continued well-being. Taylor's incredibly generous gift sends a message to her hometown - and the communities around it - that she has their backs during the long road to recovery following this devastating event," Middle Tennessee Community Foundation Chief Executive Hal Cato said in a statement, as quoted by Billboard.

Notably, this wasn't the first time that Swift was generous to the Middle Tennesee relief groups. In March 2020, she also donated to the Middle Tennessee Emergency Response Fund a whooping $1 million for those victims affected by the catastrophic tornadoes at the time.

Currently, Taylor Swift is taking her well-deserved break after a successful year. She finished her North American and South American trek of "The Eras Tour" after she released a total of two albums this year - "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" and "1989 (Taylor's Version)." She is also responsible for releasing the biggest debuting music concert film of all time - "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour."
