The Barbz has been waiting for Nicki Minaj's documentary for years, but to date, she has yet to release the said documentary.
Nicki Minaj Documentary Update 2024
In an interview with Andy Cohen on "What Would Happen Live" recently, Minaj has finally given the documentary update that the Barbz has been waiting for.
"It is absolutely still coming," she confirmed. "I wouldn't have wanted it to come out right now because it would've taken time away from them really listening to the music. Now that they've digested the music, the documentary will be a different level of emotional rollercoaster."
Nicki Minaj Documentary Release Date Revealed
According to Nicki Minaj in her interview with Andy Cohen, the documentary will be filled with stuff that "probably no one would expect me to share."
As for the Nicki Minaj documentary release date, she revealed that she would want the documentary to be released prior to March 2024.
The documentary series has been teased in 2020 but never materialized for unknown reasons. Now, Minaj revived it again, but fans spotted a major factor that had been missing in the announcement. In her announcement in 2022, Nicki Minaj left out an integral part of the documentary release - which platform would it be broadcasted?
In a press release that Pitchfork released in 2020, the documentary will explore Nicki's "brilliantly creative mind and tell the story of her personal and professional journey."
Prominently featured in the newly-released trailer is Taylor Swift's famous tweet in 2011, which seemed to spark the friendship between the two pop music dominators.
"Driving back from rehearsals listening to Super Bass by @nickiminaj OVER AND OVER. I'm so obsessed with this song," Taylor Swift tweeted at the time.
The upcoming six-part documentary was made by Bron Studios, the people behind "House of Gucci," "The Birth of a Nation," and "Joker."
Nicki Minaj 'Pink Friday 2'
Nicki Minaj broke the internet with the release of "Pink Friday 2," the sequel to her iconic debut album, "Pink Friday," which was released in 2010.
The album has been projected to debut at the top of the Billboard 200 chart as it was expected to be the first album since Cardi B's "Invasion of Privacy" to top the genre-blending chart.
