Eminem is in an ongoing dispute against the "Real Housewives of Potomac" alumni, and he's seeking a protective order from it.

The alumni was allegedly in a trademark application process for their podcast title, "Reasonably Shady."

Eminem Fights Off 'Reasonably Shady' Trademark Application

People Magazine reports that Eminem is seeking a protective order against "Real Housewives of Potomac" alumni Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon's request to have him appear in court.

The two television personalities requested for him to be deposed in October 2023. However, Eminem, who had long been recognized as Slim Shady in the industry, among other monikers, is fighting back. He also owns the trademark.

According to the filing, it would be "unduly burdensome" for the Grammy-winning rapper to appear in court because of his "limited knowledge of the subjects at issue."

Eminem offers alternative representation on the said deposition - his longtime manager Paul Rosenberg who can very well speak for him as he has "superior knowledge to Mathers on the relevant topics."

Eminem's filing also pointed out that Bryant and DIxon were "premature and procedurally improper" in their application as Eminem had previously opposed their first trademark application in February 2023.

RHOP Alumni Fights Back

According to People Magazine, Paul Rosenberg, Eminem's lawyer, did not issue a statement as of this writing.

Meanwhile, Bryant and Dixon's lawyer, Andrea Evans had this to say about the rapper's recent filing.

"It seems obvious to us that if you file a lawsuit, you should be made available to be deposed," Evans shared, saying that they would "like to question Mathers at least about his use of the expressions Slim Shady and Shady." "It's unclear to us that Mathers can be the owner of the trademarks and file this suit against our clients but he will not make himself available to be deposed."

The filing, however, clearly supports that Rosenberg has the complete and robust knowledge that the opposing party would need for the Shady trademarks as it was under his guidance that the expression and title had been registered before.

"It was under Rosenberg's direction that Mathers registered SHADY marks asserted in this case," the filing read. "[Eminem] is removed from the daily activities and details that comprise the use and promotion of his SHADY marks, even though he is "the listed owner and signatory of the asserted trademark registrations."
