Financial Strain And Fear Of Not Being Successful In The U.S. Reportedly Drove Simone Battle To Suicide

Nearly a week after G.R.L. band member Simone Battle was found hanging in a closet of her West Hollywood home some sad details are beginning to emerge. At first Simone's father expressed shock at his daughters' suicide but now that reality is starting to settle in we are hearing that money was one of the things depressing the 25-year old singer. Friends and other family members have started to discuss the fact that Simone was extremely concerned about her finances, in spite of having just dropped an EP with G.R.L.

Those close to Simone were reportedly confused by Simone's worries because the singing group that she was part of had just completed an overseas tour that was pretty successful. Apparently she was concerned because G.R.L. wasn't hitting in the U.S. and she was concerned that she would never be successful at home. The reality is that G.R.L. was carefully put together by Pussycat Doll creator Robin Antin so it probably is just a matter of time before they score a breakout hit here in the states.

In the meantime though Simone was reportedly in a panic over her finances and that led to a severe depression that she never managed to pull herself out of. Apparently in Simone's mind she was close to her version of success but never quite there. The same situation occurred in 2011 when she was a finalist on the U.S. Version of The X Factor. Simone got a taste of what it would be like to hit it big but then was sent home in 17th place.
