Nick Carter and his family have suffered two losses in the past two years; they have been rocked by the deaths of Aaron in 2022 and Bobbie Jean in 2023.

According to reports, the Backstreet Boys singer broke his social media silence after the shocking and sudden death of Bobbie Jean by commemorating little moments that happened in his family.

"Great shot!" Carter told his seven-year-old son, Odin, after the latter hit a golf ball. "Cherishing these moments," he simply captioned the video.

Bobbie Jean unexpectedly passed away on Dec. 23 in Tampa, Florida; she was found unconscious in her bathroom.

Bobbie Jean Carter's 'Mysterious' Death

Bobbie Jean was arrested for retail theft and drug possession a few months before she passed away.

"You had a great sense of humor, and a lively spirit. Growing up, I was your baby, and you were my best friend," wrote Angel Carter on Instagram.

"Life wasn't fair to you, that I know. Sometimes, it feels like you didn't have a shot, no matter what," she added before noting that she "knew why Leslie, Aaron, and [Bobbie Jean] ended up in the circumstances [they] did.}

Angel went on and reflected on their childhood, and lamented on how Babbie Jean "didn't have an opportunity for a better life."

The Carter siblings also lost their other sister Leslie in 2012; she died from a drug overdose.

Nick Carter Mourns Aaron Carter

Before Bobbie Jean's death, Aaron was found in somewhat similar circumstances in November 2022.

The singer was also found unconscious in his home bathroom and pronounced dead by paramedics.

'I'm still processing the whole situation and trying to make sense of it-because it hasn't," Carter told E! News following his younger brother's death. "But I'm hoping that one day I can make sense of it all."

The singer admitted that he and Aaron had not settled their differences when the latter passed away.

"No matter what he and I had gone through in our lives, we always were able to make amends, always were able to get back to that place - and now I can't anymore and it hurts."

According to reports, the Carter family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against doctors and pharmacists, claiming that they were "partly" responsible for Aaron's death for "incorrectly" prescribing and dispensing him opioids.
