There has been significant attention and buzz recently that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are planning to get engaged in the coming summer.
As the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce engagement rumors intensify, sources have backed up these claims, saying that this would be possible.
However, this might not be possible logistically.
Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Engagement
Page Six reported that sources are saying that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are planning to get engaged in the summer.
A source revealed that the two skipped the holiday season engagement because "they don't want it to seem like it's rushed insanity" while another said that a Valentine's Day engagement is also unlikely for the same reason.
"Taylor and Travis discussed it and there is a plan," the insider said, adding that "They will get engaged on their one-year anniversary in July."
The outlet also reported back in December 2023 that Travis Kelce had already asked for Scott Swift's blessing.
"Scott has been asked for his blessing and has wholeheartedly given it, and Travis has been talking to friends about a ring," a source claimed at the time.
Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Engagement Not Happening Over The Summer?
As previously suggested by Hannah Ann Sluss, the fiancee of NFL player, Jake Funk, engagements in the NFL usually happen off-season.
"Well, usually, engagements, from what Jake's told me, happen in the offseason," she revealed on Page Six's "Virtual Reality-Tea" podcast. The couple announced their engagement about a year ago. Sluss further shared, "Because last season I was like, 'I want to get engaged.' He was like, 'Well, typically guys get engaged in the offseason.'"
Besides this, Taylor Swift is busy with "The Eras" Tour leg for 2024 during this period.
A Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce engagement might actually materialize this year, as Swift suggested in her Time Magazine cover story that they had been hanging out much longer.
Despite only being spotted in September 2023, Swift has been dating Kelce since July when he talked about her in his podcast.
"We started hanging out right after that," she revealed. "So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I'm grateful for, because we got to get to know each other."
Swift also added that they would "never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date."
