After Saturday's extremely chilly Kansas City Chiefs game against the Miami Dolphins, fans, most especially Swifties were surprised to discover Travis Kelce's bloodied and scraped hand. Some theorize that Taylor Swift cats must have done it.
The Chiefs prevailed despite the fact that the Wild Card game was the fourth coldest in NFL history and had low attendance.
On Wednesday's episode of his "New Heights" podcast, which included his soon-to-be retired brother Jason Kelce, 34-year-old Kelce displayed his battle scars, leaving many fans to wonder what caused them. "wtf happened to travis hand?" one fan asked on X, as another added, "oh my god, Travis' hand is so scratched, like did his football glove do that?"
"I mean I noticed he was in pain during [coach] Andy [Reid]'s speech in the lockers but wtf his poor hands!!" a third wrote alongside a video of the tight end wringing out his hands in the locker room.
Naturally, Swifties cannot help but connect what happend to Kelce to his girlfriend Taylor Swift.
A person made the joke that the scratches might have been caused by one of Travis' three cats, Taylor Swift's lover. "So which cat did this to Travis' hand? Benji, Olivia, or Meredith?" they tweeted.
The football player may have suffered bumps and bruises elsewhere on his body due to the rough playing circumstances, even though he just showed off his hands, which were covered in tiny red nicks.

Travis reported that his hands and feet grew numb during the game and described the low temperatures as "shocking."
"When you go out on the field, it's like, the temperature just drops right now and you feel it in your hands, you feel it in your toes, your face ... I could feel my mustache hardening up," he explained.
The "Catching Kelce" actor compared playing on "concrete" to the semi-frozen field's "rock-hard" feel.
"There are certain parts of the field where - I don't know if it's just the way the wind hits the stadium or whatnot - [but] it's colder, it's icier," he said.
"You knew that it was going to be hard when you hit the ground regardless." After the game, Travis warmed up with Swift despite the bitter cold.
The couple, who began dating in July 2023, were spotted exiting the stadium holding hands with quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany Mahomes, who are also two-time Super Bowl champions.
The 34-year-old singer of "Cruel Summer" stayed warm in an oversized Chiefs puffer jacket with an all-black outfit underneath, while Travis warmed up in a checkered fleece jacket and leather slacks.
A picture of Swift with Travis' longtime barber that was shared on social media suggests that they celebrated the huge win with friends and family at the NFL star's $6 million mansion.
