Travis Kelce is called names ever since he has been with Taylor Swift - some good and some bad; with the negative revolving around the fact that he's probably using Swift for fame and money.
While many have already vouched that this is not the case, nobody can really tell unless they're with him all the time, apart from his immediate family. One such person is his colleague and friend, Patrick Mahomes.
The quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs recently shared his thoughts on the ongoing media frenzy surrounding his teammate in the context of his connection with Taylor Swift.
"It's been cool to watch for me because he has all that attention but he's just been himself the whole time," Patrick told NBC Sports in an article published Jan. 24. "He's still Travis Kelce. He still will walk through the stadium and treat every single person like they're his best friend. And he's going to be like that in the locker room every single day. It hasn't been any different."
Although Travis has gained a lot of notoriety due to his connection with the "Karma" singer, Patrick said that the tight end's March Saturday Night Live hosting gig-six months before his remarkable romance with Taylor became public-was a "dream of his."
If and when Travis Kelce does let fame get into his head - it's not that surprising. Being with Taylor Swift makes it virtually impossible to stay lowkey - fans and the media won't let their relationship stay outside of the limelight after all. Joe Alwyn, no matter how hard he tried, occassionally get some attention too because of his relationship with Swift in the past.

Kelce, a star in his own right, already had months of dealing with the media and he must know right now how much more famous he is because of his relationship with the pop and country icon. Studies have been devoted to why Taylor Swift has become such an icon.
While Mahomes obviously does not have a problem with Kelce, not all athletes can say the same.
During the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills game that took place recently, former New York Giants rusher Tiki Barber voiced his displeasure with the NFL for using Taylor Swift as a talking point on the broadcasts. The instant after Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce scores a touchdown, the camera always cuts to Swift. Barber, co-host of Evan & Tiki on WFAN 101.9, observed this tendency.
Barber expressed his dissatisfaction by saying, "He scores a touchdown, and they pan immediately to Taylor Swift! Again? It's not even Travis Kelce. Maybe it's the Taylor Swift influence that has made me - I don't want to say turn sour - but just be slightly annoyed with the Kansas City Chiefs. It's also because they're always here. After you've been somewhere for so long and have had the success they've had, it becomes inevitable."
