Beats Music has gotten off to a great start within the internet radio/streaming business, based on most reviews and according to the service's error messages. If CEO Ian Rogers is to be believed, the service has had such an aggressive appeal that Beats is temporarily preventing any new members from joining. Apparently users were having issues due to the heavy traffic, which caused problems both listening and registering. -
Beats Music streaming service launches today
Beats Music officially launched today. Users can now download a free trial of the app on their iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows Phone. Once the initial seven-day trial is up, the paid subscription begins. The service costs $10 a month for an individual plan and $15 for a family plan (which allows for four separate users). -
Beats Music to launch subscription streaming service January 21st
Beats Music announced yesterday on its website that it will be launching itsnew music streaming subscription service in the U.S. on January 21. The service (formely dubbed "Daisy") was developed by Interscope/Geffen/A&M chairman Jimmy Iovine along with Dr. Dre, Beats Electronics president Luke Wood and Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor. The subscription offers a catalog of more than 20 million fully licensed songs from both major and independent labels. -

A year ago, Trent Reznor announced his involvement as creative chief with Beats Music (formerly dubbed "Daisy"), a new music-streaming site being launched by Dr. Dre and Interscope Geffen A&M chairman Jimmy Iovine through Beats Electronics, the company that makes Beats by Dre headphones. Now the company has announced that the site will launch in January.
