One of my favorite genres of music is lo-fi, or "low-fidelity," meaning artists who record their songs onto cheap equipment. Though most lo-fi artists are DIY musicians who work outside of the mainstream and use cheap equipment out of necessity, there are still some highly successful rock stars that have chosen to go lo-fi for aesthetic reasons, or simply out of convenience. Here are six lo-fi albums that were recorded by big rock stars. -

Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga and Arcade Fire Appearing on West Memphis Three Benefit Album? Nope, Just Fraud Scheme.
If this album was for real, it would've been worth well more than the price of a typical compilation album. However, it wasn't real. Portland musician Kasey Anderson was sentenced to four years in prison for convincing investors that he had assembled a superb set of acts for a charity album, and thus robbed them of more than $600,000. -
Jack White Covers Lorde's 'Royals' In Concert [WATCH]
It looks like Jack White has joined Nirvana and Bruce Springsteen on the list of rockers who think Lorde is pretty cool. At a show in Milwaukee last night, July 21, White performed a cover of the New Zealand pop star's massive hit "Royals." As of right now, the only video footage of this performance is a brief, blurry video posted to Instagram, but it's definitely enough to get the picture and realize just how strange this must have been for the audience. Pitchfork reports that White has also performed covers of Jay-Z's "99 Problems" and the Stooges' "I Wanna Be Your Dog" during previous stops on his current tour. -

6 Artists From The '70s Who Did Well In The '80s: Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, And More
It may have been something in the water, but for whatever reason, the '80s were not kind to many of the genius artists of the '70s. Some of them lost their edge and went pop (Genesis) while some just completely lost their minds, and not in a good way (Neil Young). However, these six artists managed to flourish in the '80s and release some of their best work. -

Bruce Springsteen Shares Short Film 'Hunter Of Invisible Game' [WATCH]
Stereogum reports that today, Bruce Springsteen shared his directorial debut Hunter of Invisible Game through his website (click here to watch it). The 10-minute clip is part short film and part music video for the song "Hunter of Invisible Game" from Springsteen's latest album, High Hopes. The plot of the film seems to involve Springsteen trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, or maybe it's just New Jersey in 2014 (I live there, so I'm allowed to make that joke). The actual music video portion begins about halfway through. -

However, these rhymes pop up in song lyrics so often that they just come across as incredibly lazy. Here are eight lyrical rhymes that need a rest.
