While it had been previously reported that loved up couple, Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder were expecting to spend 2015 together without the pressure of taking another step in their romance, it looks like that may not be the case. The couple was spotted shopping together in a jewelry store over the weekend and apparently it's not the first time that Somerhalder has looked at baubles for Reed. -
Soap Star Katherine Kelly Lang's Stint on Italian 'DWTS' Not at All What She Imagined
Sometimes things that sound like a fantastic opportunity end up being pretty lousy, even if you are a celebrity. "The Bold & the Beautiful's" Katherine Kelly Lang recently found that out when she decided to join the cast of the Italian version of "Dancing with the Stars." Lang decided to take a three-month leave from the soap she has been on for more than 25 years in favor of trying something completely new and out of her element.Lang recently talked to "TV Guide's" Michael Logan about the experience and, as it turns out, she might wish that she had passed on what seemed like a great opportunity."I thought it would be fun to go over and compete on a dance program. [Laughs] Well, I was wrong! It turned out to be more of a reality show with dance involved and they really want to provoke you. They want to see your reactions. They want to see tears and anger. And they really want to see you fire back some retorts, which is so not my style. I don't like reality shows at all so, when I realized what was really going on, I was taken aback. I think maybe they thought they'd hired my character. They kept calling me 'Brooke.' I kept saying, 'My name is Kelly!' They had cameras on us during rehearsal at all times but they didn't show my injury on the air — in fact, they wanted to pretend it never happened. So when I was talking to the judges, I had to bring up my injury myself, which made it look like I was playing the pity card. [Laughs] I was, like, 'This is not happening!' said Lang of the experience. -
Jenna Coleman Will Return to 'Doctor Who' for Another Season as Clara Oswald
Fans of BBC's "Doctor Who" were given one of the best Christmas gifts possible within the show's holiday special. While it certainly looked like Clara Oswald's time with the Doctor was coming to an abrupt end, it is just the opposite. Clara will continue on as the Doctor's companion for another season, which means Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman will be sharing screen time for several more episodes. After it was revealed that their storyline together is not quite finished yet, Coleman explained her reasons for sticking around and how working with two different Doctors — Capaldi and Matt Smith — has made it interesting."I get a whole other series of stories with the Doctor and I couldn't walk away with the story being unresolved. I think they've finally just reached a point where they really understand each other. The arrival of the 12th Doctor has just kind of dropped this whole bombshell and allowed the dynamic to totally change. So I think just when Clara was feeling more comfortable in the relationship, it has suddenly thrown something new up," says Coleman. -
'The Young & The Restless' Makes the Top Five on Bing's List of Most Searched TV Shows of 2014 Thanks to Michael Muhney Scandal
Soaps are supposed to be a dying breed, aren't they? In the last few years, we have seen long-running shows like "All My Children," "Guiding Light" and "One Life to Live" stop production because the audience supposedly just hasn't been there to justify the high cost of producing an hour of television five days a week. One of the few shows left on daytime television is "The Young & the Restless" and according to Bing, it actually is their fifth most-searched television show of 2014. Why? The Michael Muhney Scandal of course! -
Now That Téa Leoni Is Confirmed to Be Dating Tim Daly, Will Her Ex David Duchovny Finally Confirm His Relationship with Gillian Anderson?
The only person whom David Duchovny has been linked to for longer than his ex-wife, Téa Leoni, is his former costar Gillian Anderson. Last summer, Duchovny and Leoni's divorce became final after officially separating for good back in 2011. They had spent a few years before that trying to make things work, but ultimately decided that being apart was better. Yesterday we learned that Leoni is now happily dating her "Madame Secretary" costar Tim Daly. This is the first time either she or her ex have actually been officially linked to someone else, and many are now wondering if Duchovny will come clean about his romance with Anderson. The twosome have had rumors swirling around them for years because of their chemistry while working together for the better part of a decade on "The X-Files." The show became a cult classic that lives on in syndication, and the most die-hard of fans have clamored for a real-life relationship between these two. As Anderson once said, they likely know each other better than their own spouses ever have, so it is kind of a no-brainer that they might gravitate together. -
Soap Star Eileen Davidson Finally Made Her Much-Anticipated Debut on 'RHOBH'
Bravo has been pretty smart in the way it has handled the newest season of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." It purposely added two soap stars to the cast — Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson — but they spaced out their debuts, probably for maximum affect. Rinna was in on the action with the rest of the cast right from the season premiere, but it waited until the third episode for Davidson's debut. While nothing too traumatic went down last night, Dec. 2, between Davidson and anyone else, we already know from the trailer that she and Rinna have at least one glass-throwing incident and they are not exactly the best of friends at all. They crossed paths years ago on "Days of Our Lives" and clearly never gelled. It is pretty obvious already that Bravo is expecting Davidson to cause some friction among the ladies, and that seems to be a role she is already comfortable playing. -
LeAnn Rimes Is Still Trying to Convince Everyone That Eddie Cibrian Is Her 'Soulmate'
LeAnn Rimes has been making the media rounds to promote her new Christmas album, but of course the main topic of discussion always ends up being her marriage to Eddie Cibrian. At some point in time, Rimes may choose to simply make peace with the fact that people really do not like them as a couple and get on with her life, but she is not exactly there yet. Remember their reality show on VH1 last summer? The ratings were horrendous and Rimes and Cibrian seemed to think that mocking the press would be their ticket to getting fans back in their back pockets. Obviously, that was an epic fail.So Rimes is back to her more normal approach of praising her husband and hoping that her fans will forget how she has said that she fears he will eventually cheat on her. Remember, these two first hooked up while married to other people and, for whatever reason, it was an indiscretion that fans never accepted. In an interview with Mail on Sunday, Rimes explained:"I was meant to be with Eddie. Fans felt as though I was their daughter or sister making a big mistake when we got together, because they've grown up with me. But we both acted from our hearts and that's impossible to turn around. Trust me, we both tried. Look, I've said 'I'm sorry' and made amends. Eddie is my soulmate — he and I completely get each other. We're opposites — I want to go shopping; he wants to ride dirt bikes — but we bring out the best in each other. Divorce is not an option for us. Obviously, if something horrible happened, I would have to take care of myself, but I don't see that happening." -
Jason Knauf's First Job As New Royal Press Secretary Is to Make Prince William and Kate Middleton Look More Romantic
Just yesterday, Nov. 22, we told you that Jason Knauf was named the new press secretary for Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry. The 30-year-old is considered an industry whiz and also new to the royal family, something William has insisted upon. He did not want to import a media handler who had worked either at Buckingham Palace or Clarence House for fear their loyalty could be divided. Knauf will have the young royals's best interests in mind, and it is going to be his job to promote them as a more modern family.Part of William and Middleton's media success has been attributed to the fact that they have been promoted as a fairly normal couple that just so happen to have important jobs and lots of cash. They like to do things commoners also do, and there now seems to be a push to make William seem a bit softer."People" magazine featured an interview with British florist Paula Pryke, who just received the Order of the British Empire from William last week for exemplary service. -
'RHOBH's' Scores Highest Ratings for Premiere in Years Thanks To the Addition of Soap Stars' Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson
It looks like Bravo and Andy Cohen got their wish. Season five of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" premiered last week and the numbers look really good. 2 million households tuned in to catch up with the ladies and that is a 25% ratings increase over last season. While series regulars Lisa Vanderpump, Brandi Glanville, Yolanda Foster, Kyle Richards and Kim Richards all returned it was likely the newcomers that helped to give those numbers a boost. -
Will Justin Hartley's Performance on 'Y&R' Live Up to the Gauntlet Thrown Down by Michael Muhney?
Adam Newman finally returned to "The Young & the Restless" canvas last week by way of Justin Hartley's portrayal. While the character is not fully back in the Genoa City mix, Hartley has had enough interactive scenes to give viewers a feel for what is to come. The actor took over the role, which was recast after Michael Muhney was fired late last year amid a storm of controversy, knowing that he may have a bit of an uphill battle when it comes to winning over fans.Muhney's performance on "Y&R" kept longtime fans glued to their televisions, and after his last scenes finally aired this past January the show's ratings plummeted. Muhney's fans were vocal about how they were not going to support the show once he left it, and then they appeared to back up those words with action. Part of the issue was that Muhney was fired due to allegations of sexual harassment, and then not only were charges not filed, but "Y&R" actually considered rehiring him this past summer, leading many to believe he should never have been cut in the first place. -
Bethany Mota Built an Empire by Focusing on Fans Rather Than Potential Fame
Bethany Mota's life is pretty incredible right now. The 19-year old first took to YouTube about five years ago with a series of style videos and DIY projects that inspired a nation of tween girls. Flash-forward a few years and Mota is now one of the most successful Vlogger's ever and it's something that she already has managed to build an empire on. She has already partnered with Forever 21, JC Penney and has an exclusive clothing line at Aeropostale. In case all of that doesn't keep the stunning teen busy enough, she is currently partnered with Derek Hough on "Dancing with the Stars". -
Bravo Hoping to Save 'RHONJ' after Teresa Giudice Leaves by Bringing Back Caroline Manzo
Can Caroline Manzo save "The Real Housewives of New Jersey"? The Italian mom had enough of the crazy chaos and opted not to do season six of the reality show that just finished airing this week. Bravo gave her family their own spin off show, "Manzo'd with Children" that did even better than the network had hoped, solidifying what they already knew, Manzo has a huge fan base. That's something that could come in serious handy if RHONJ has any hope of returning for a seventh season, especially since Teresa Giudice will be reporting to a Connecticut prison camp in less than two months.
