Kate Middleton Making Country House in Anmer Hall Her Main Residence
When Kate Middleton and Prince William settled into their new apartment at Kensington Palace in September 2013, they had hoped that having their young family based in London would be the best move possible. Instead, it has made them fair game for every member of the royal family who feels like stopping in, and it also has meant that Middleton has been too close to her built-in nemesis Camilla Parker-Bowles. Several months ago, the couple began renovating their country home at Anmer Hall with the intention of making it their primary residence.Rather than having her parenting style under Queen Elizabeth II's daily microscope, Middleton deciding that raising little Prince George in the country with more freedom was in his best interest. Once it was confirmed that the couple was expecting baby No. 2, the need to distance themselves from the chaos of city life became even greater.According to a new report by "People" magazine, Middleton is fully expected to make Anmer Hall her primary residence with her children. While William will certainly be with his young family the majority of the time, he will also likely be stationed out of Kensington Palace for the sake of the family business. Middleton and her brother and sister had a great childhood in the country, and the duchess seems to be determined to give her children a similar kind of upbringing as the one her parents gave her. -
A Rash in Bets Made Bookmakers Think that Queen Elizabeth May Abdicate the Throne on Christmas Day
Where there is smoke, there is usually fire. At least, that is the thinking that prompted a popular British bookmaker to suspend betting on the notion that Queen Elizabeth II will announce that she is abdicating the throne during her Christmas Day speech. Apparently, a rash of bets were rolling in, leading Coral to initially offer odds of 10-1 that Elizabeth was about to hand over power. Then they suspected that maybe a tip had come from Buckingham Palace, leading to the sudden spike, and so they suspended betting altogether. As for whether or not Elizabeth actually is ready to shift power over to either Prince Charles or Prince William, sources say it is not happening. The queen signed on for a lifetime of serving the British people, and that is how she intends to spend her final days right to the end. While it is the palace's official policy not to comment on anything connected to bookmakers, it is worth noting that Elizabeth has never addressed any kind of personal matters during her Christmas Day message and this year's has already been recorded.Queen Elizabeth's health has been failing for the last few years, but no serious diagnosis has ever been made public. We simply have heard that old age is causing her body to slow down, but in day-to-day life the queen is still quite hands-on with the family business. Given that fact, it makes sense that she would be more inclined to hang on to power until her last breath. -
Kate Middleton and Prince William Give Us an Early Christmas Gift: New Photos of Prince George
Part of the appeal of Kate Middleton and Prince William seems to be the fact that the media and fans alike seem to believe them when they say they just want a normal life. Statements like that are not directly followed by weird, two-block walks with Prince George meant for the paparazzi to get a couple photos to leak. Instead, they work when they have to and steer clear of the spotlight the rest of the time. Prince George tends to be off limits and even if a member of the press could grab a shot of him it seems unlikely it would be sold out of respect for the royals. It is because of that that Middleton and William have released a few new photos of their son.The shots were reportedly taken by "a member of the household staff" on the stairs on Kensington Palace. The last time we saw Prince George was for his birthday in July, and boy has he grown. No longer a baby, George is a toddler on the go. Perhaps the best part of the new photos is the fact that they capture his personality. You can tell that this kid is a fun handful and he must be giving his pregnant mom a real run for it.What are your thoughts on the way Middleton and William have opted to shield their son from the press? He is only a few weeks younger than North West, so just think of how many times she has been carted to inappropriate events — like NYFW — as the perfect accessory to whatever Kim Kardashian is wearing. Her daughter has been photographed like crazy, but have we ever actually seen North West smile in any of those shots? It looks like Prince George is the happier kid, don't you think? -

Kate Middleton and Prince William Visiting New York City This Weekend!
For the first time ever, Kate Middleton and Prince William will be visiting NYC and the timing probably couldn't be worse for them. Aside from the duchess still occasionally battling bouts of the morning sickness that kept her completely away from any royal engagements for nearly eight weeks, the city is super busy at Christmas time. Then there are the daily protests over the Eric Garner case that have snarled traffic on a nightly basis all week and well, travel could be tricky, even for royalty! -
Is Kate Middleton Expecting a Little Princess Next April?
The beginning of Kate Middleton's second pregnancy was sure rough, as Prince William's wife battled even worse morning sickness than what she endured while carrying Prince George two years ago. Nearly three months of royal appearances were systematically canceled until the duchess was finally back on her feet again and already she is nearly halfway through her pregnancy. Rumor has it that this time around Middleton wanted to know the gender of her baby and she is thrilled to be having a daughter.Middleton and Prince William had originally said they wanted to have three children within about five years so their kids could really bond while young and grow up together. When Middleton delivers this child in April, she will technically have two kids under 2, as George's second birthday is not until July. It looks like the couple's family plan is right on track and, according to Hollywood Life, even Queen Elizabeth II is hoping that the news is correct and that this baby is a girl. -
Kate Middleton Is Struggling to Keep Pregnancy Weight on While Working Again
Kate Middleton stepped out in Norwich, England, today in support of East Anglia's Hospices' Norfolk Capital Appeal, and once again she raised eyebrows with a bright red dress and a teased ponytail. We recently told you that Middleton has been attempting to sex up her style just a little bit by making purposefully different choices every time she walks out the door. Middleton's plan has definitely been working, as no one would accuse her of looking the least bit dowdy. She also is not looking very pregnant either, and it is starting to concern those around her.Middleton is approximately 18 weeks pregnant, and as you can see from today's photos, she barely has any baby bump. Obviously, her extended battle with morning sickness has likely prevented the duchess from gaining weight consistently this time around — at least so far. Middleton was relatively small when she delivered Prince George in July 2013, so she may not be the kind of woman who will put on a lot of pregnancy pounds. This time around is different, though, because she is also chasing after George, something that is not an easy task when she is already feeling rundown and drained. -
Jason Knauf's First Job As New Royal Press Secretary Is to Make Prince William and Kate Middleton Look More Romantic
Just yesterday, Nov. 22, we told you that Jason Knauf was named the new press secretary for Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry. The 30-year-old is considered an industry whiz and also new to the royal family, something William has insisted upon. He did not want to import a media handler who had worked either at Buckingham Palace or Clarence House for fear their loyalty could be divided. Knauf will have the young royals's best interests in mind, and it is going to be his job to promote them as a more modern family.Part of William and Middleton's media success has been attributed to the fact that they have been promoted as a fairly normal couple that just so happen to have important jobs and lots of cash. They like to do things commoners also do, and there now seems to be a push to make William seem a bit softer."People" magazine featured an interview with British florist Paula Pryke, who just received the Order of the British Empire from William last week for exemplary service. -

Kate Middleton and Prince William Scrambling to Find a New Press Secretary for Their Kensington Palace Office
Working as the official press secretary for Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry would be a great gig ... if anyone could actually land it. Their former media-handler left his position nearly two months ago, and while a string of extremely qualified candidates have been interviewed for the job, Prince William is reportedly making the process difficult.According to "The Daily Mail," securing a new PR person has become extremely tedious.Former BBC producer Ed Perkins quit Kensington Palace more than seven weeks ago, after only two years as their press secretary, and Prince William, Kate and [Prince] Harry have still not found a suitable candidate to succeed him."It's a nightmare," claims a senior courtier to the "Mail." "Prince William does not take advice readily — let's put it like that. Several well-qualified candidates have been ruled out."
