Superior Court judge Yvette Palazuelos ruled Monday that Katherine Jackson, mother of pop star Michael Jackson, should pay $800,000 of the legal fees for AEG Live, whom she had sued for allegedly negligently hiring doctor Conrad Murray. -

Nearly five years after Michael Jackson's death, Epic Records is releasing material from the singer's archive vault for the upcoming album, Xscape, due out May 13. According to Billboard, the label CEO and executive producer, L.A. Reid, cultivated Jackson's completed vocal recordings and went about "contemporizing" each to give it a more current sound while maintaining what the label believes would've been Jackson's creative vision. -

An Amy Winehouse hologram concert series might be in the works, but first the promoter has to sue to make sure no one else will do it, or anything like it. Alki David is the owner of Musion, the hologram-development company that has generated 3D models of performers including Tupac Shakur for its performance with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre at the Coachella Music Festival. He alleges that the hologram-Michael Jackson that appears during Cirque de Soleil's Michael Jackson: One performance in Las Vegas is an infringement on patents held by Musion. -
Michael Jackson fans awarded $1.36 each for 'emotional damage' over the singer's death
According to Rolling Stone, a court in Orleans, France has ruled that five fans from Michael Jackson's fan club were able to prove that they suffered "emotional damage" following the pop stars death. They each were award €1, or approximately US $1.36, for their distress.
