Timothée Chalamet's take on Bob Dylan's singing voice has left some social media users unimpressed.

An almost two-minute clip of Chalamet potraying Dylan in the highly anticipated biopic "A Complete Unknown" was released to the public Wednesday.

In the teaser, the actor showcased his ability to mimic the Grammy winner's voice and guitar playing while performing "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall."

However, Chalamet's rendition sparked mixed reactions on social media.

"That singing ain't it," @MundiIIo wrote on X, formerly Twitter, along with a three crying-faces emoji.

"This is going to suck the center right out of the earth," @chetwill predicted of the film.

When one X user asked if there was anything Chalamet couldn't do, @Otrosvendran responded, "Yes: to look something like Bob Bylan and to be able to sing in the tone of Bob Dylan. Except for that, he can do everything."

Another user, @PogDigital, mocked the actor, saying, "That voice sounds familiar, holy s**te is that Wonka?," referring to one of Chalamet's previous characters.

However, some fans had positive things to say after seeing the Bob Dylan biopic teaser.

"This is going to hit many people as just wrong. Like WRONG wrong. Personally, I think it's absolutely fine," @TYPE4Boston commented. "Here's the thing: Sure, Chalamet is putting on a voice here, mimicking Dylan. But at that point in his career, Dylan was ALSO putting on a voice, mimicking Woody Guthrie."

Another X user, @CoryStoker, declared, "He is 100% imitating Bob Dylan. He has a goal, and that goal is to be Bob Dylan. You are out of your mind if you think at any point he decided to just sing in his natural voice and did no work at all to adapt."

"It kind of sounds like what Dylan would sound like if he were in his 20s today," @TMLFC19 gushed. "I think it's a damn good voice for the biopic and im looking forward to it."

Chalamet previously confessed his reluctance to meet Dylan before trying out for the part, citing superstitions as the reason.

The upcoming movie also features Elle Fanning and Edward Norton.

Coming to cinemas this December, "A Complete Unknown" was co-written by James Mangold and Jay Cocks, and dives into the formative years of the folk music star in New York. The highlight leads to Dylan embracing an electric guitar during his iconic 1965 Newport Folk Festival performance.
