Taylor Swift's safety and security have been compromised numerous times - not only because of her life-threatening stalkers but also with the looming fury of Republicans and conservatives because of her political standing.

In the past few months, Swift has been using a private jet to travel across cities and countries because of the security risk she imposes when traveling through commercial aircraft. However, her environmental responsibilities and safety were put on blast when a college student devised a way to track her private jet.

Taylor Swift Safety: Student Who Tracks Singer's Jet Threatened

The Washington Post reported that Taylor Swift's legal camp has served college student Jack Sweeney a cease-and-desist order to stop his "stalking and harassing behavior."

The University of Central Florida student has been tracking Taylor Swift's jet and publishing sensitive information on social media.

Because of Sweeney's behavior and actions, Swift has been living in a "constant state of fear for her personal safety."

"While this may be a game to you, or an avenue that you hope will earn you wealth or fame, it is a life-or-death matter for our Client. Ms. Swift has dealt with stalkers and other individuals who wish her harm," the order read, obtained by the publication.

Sweeney's cease-and-desist order also highlighted his past public spat with other high-profile personalities like Elon Musk, Tom Cruise, and even Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, whose flights he had also tracked and published online.

"We are aware of your public disputes with other high-profile individuals and your tactics in those interactions, including offering to stop your harmful behavior only in exchange for items of value," Swift's lawyers continued to say.

Taylor Swift Safety Interests The People?

Jack Sweeney, in a conversation with Business Insider, revealed his reasons why he does such things.

"I think the people are interested," he admitted. "You should have a decent expectation that your jet will be tracked, whether or not I do it as, after all, it is public information."

Since being served with the order, Sweeney has sought legal protection. His lawyer revealed to The Washington Post that Swift's letter was "unfounded" and that Sweeney had "engaged in protected speech that does not violate any of Ms. Swift's legal rights.

Swift has faced significant backlash after topping the list of celebrities whose private planes emitted the most carbon in 2022.
