Power Trip Comeback: Band Returns With NEW Live Vocalist After Years-Long Hiatus

This is not a drill! Power Trip will make a big comeback this year after taking a break for a long time. This time, the band will feature a brand new vocalist after the death of Riley Gate; check out all the details below.

According to Loudwire, the band was able to reunite for a short time in December 2023, but 2024 will be a bigger year for them and their supporters as they will perform at a festival along with their new vocalist.

Taking to their official Instagram account, the band shared a poster of their upcoming event and in the lengthy caption, they explained that almost four years ago, they performed for the last time as Power Trip.

"It has been a difficult road since then, marked by deep pain, grief, and everything else that came with losing our brother Riley," they added.

Power Trip Thought About Their Future

Later in the post, the band noted that Gate's death couldn't be undone, but he will still a part of them. At the time of his death, they thought deeply about the future of the group.

"What always comes back to us is that this band was founded on resilience, perseverance, and most importantly: a love for the music and for all of the people it has brought us closer to along the way," they added.

Power Trip noted that they will never have the words to convey their gratitude and appreciation to their supporters and they feel that they have to get back on stage as a gift to those who have supported them throughout the years.

Power Trip to Appear in No Values Festival

The band then revealed their big comeback this year at the No Values Festival at the Pomina Fairplex in Southern California on June 8, 2024.

Since they don't have a vocalist, the group announced that Seth Gilmore will provide vocals for the upcoming shows.

The post was signed by members Blake Ibanez, Nick Steward, Chris Ulsh, and Chris Whetzel.

Aside from the band, other music acts who will be present at the event are Iggy Pop, Turnstile, The Drained, The Dillinger Esc Plan, Social Distortion, Sublime, Joyce manor, Black Flag, Fidlar, The Untouchables, and many more.
