Selena Gomez is back with yet another song, but this time, instead of singing about being single, "Love On" is a reflection of her blooming and flourishing relationship with Benny Blanco.
"Why are we conversing over this steak tartare/ When we could be somewhere other than here/ Making out in the back of the car," the singer cheekily sings, seemingly referencing her boyfriend's talent for cooking.
"Or we could make a memoir/ On the back wall of the last stall in the bathroom at the bazaar."
Gomez's new song comes with an accompanying music video, which heavily references Paris, France.
The City of Love might be an easter egg for what the singer slash actress has in store because she even revealed that she had been working on her new album in Paris last year.
Selena Gomez Samples The Beatles' Music
According to Pop Tingz on X, formerly known as Twitter, the "Lose You to Love Me" hitmaker sampled chords from The Beatles' song, "It's Only Love."
Gomez is not the only artist to do so, as several other singers also used the same chords, like Harry Styles, Madison Beer, Zedd & Kehlani, and more.

Selena Gomez Gears Up For New Album
According to reports, the "Calm Down" hitmaker shared a picture of herself in a recording studio, and captioned it, "Don't worry guys, it's coming. Even from Paris," with a winky face emoji.
Fans have expressed their excitement for Gomez's upcoming album, since it has been a while since she dropped any releases; her latest album is "Rare," which was released in 2020.
So when the singer dropped "Single Soon" in August last year, they rejoiced--however, their hopes of more new music were dashed when she revealed that the new album might also be her last.
"The older I get, the more I'm kind of like, 'I would like to find something to just settle on,'" Gomez explained.
"I do feel like I have one more album in me, but I would probably choose acting."
The singer started out as an actress, early into her career, before transitioning to the music industry after teaming up with her band and establishing Selena Gomez & the Scene.
Gomez has been leaning towards her acting career lately; she is cast in the series "Only Murders in the Building" and she also launched a cooking show, "Selena + Chef."
