Steve Harley Cancer Diagnosis Explored
In December 2023, the Cockney Rebel frontman shared a message to his loyal fans on his website, sharing how his cancer diagnosis made him incapable of touring.
"But I'm fighting a nasty cancer," he revealed. "My oncologist is pleased with the treatment's effects so far. It's tiresome, and tiring. But the fight is on. And thankfully the cursed intruder is not affecting the voice. I sing and play most evenings."
Steve Harley's cancer diagnosis wasn't mainly publicized, but it is still unknown whether his cancer progressed to the point that it has become terminal.
In the past, it was also revealed that Steve Harley was diagnosed with polio when he was 12 years old.
"The surgeon put pins in my good knee to stop that leg growing so I'd become more even," he recalled to The Daily Mail at the time. "This is not what you would wish on your worst enemy. I was 12, I was in hospital for a year, I wanted to end life. It was pain... even now I can't describe it."
