Former New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez is a Livie! The athlete recently opened up about his experience watching Olivia Rodrigo perform live at her concert, and he was amazed to the point that he became a fan.
Rodriguez recently spoke with People magazine for an interview where he recalled taking his youngest daughter, Ella, to watch the musician perform her biggest hits at one of her GUTS World Tour dates last month.
"That was really cool. We had a great time... I was surrounded by 20,000 teenagers screaming very, very loud, but Ella had the time of her life," he said.
The former baseball athlete noted that his daughter was able to meet Rodrigo up close, and he recalled the singer being "so nice."
"She was so humble, so connected, and it's definitely a day that we won't forget for a long time," he added.
Rodriguez was later asked if he considered himself one of the pop star's fans after the concert, and he didn't hesitate to answer: "I do now."
Olivia Rodrigo Updates
Olivia Rodrigo gave a massive surprise to her fans as she released the deluxe edition of her album GUTS with five new songs.
New tracks include "Obsessed," "Girl I've Always Been," "Scared of My Guitar," "Stranger," and "So American."
According to Forbes, the new project, re-released as GUTS (spilled), became massively successful as it surged on a few Billboard charts. It took the number one spot on the Billboard 200.
However, it has failed to succeed on the Vinyl Albums chart so far because its initial placement when it was released was No. 7, but it dropped out and recently became No. 12.
Olivia Rodrigo GUTS World Tour
Olivia Rodrigo is in the middle of touring for her GUTS World Tour, which will travel to major cities around the world.
Last month, the musician made a big move at her concerts as she gave away condoms and free boxes of Plan B at the venue of her shows.
This initiative was under her project, Fund 4 Good, which provides reproductive health care support and supports non-profit organizations that promote reproductive health freedom.
Just days after she became viral for her initiative, tour organizers told Variety that organizations were barred from handing out emergency birth control pills at her shows, which resulted in her team taking down the booths that they usually set up at her concerts.
In other updates, the musician just wrapped up her North American leg. She's set to travel overseas for her shows in the United Kingdom and Europe before returning to the United States and Canada in July and August.
