While Katy Perry's seat on American Idol remains vacant, Pink has finally answered the lingering question about whether she will be the next judge on the show.

Several musicians have been sparking buzz about their potential move to become Perry's replacement on American Idol. While most of them expressed their desire to get the offer, Pink shared a different response.

On Monday, May 13, the "Just Give Me a Reason" singer attended the premiere of Bob Mackie: Naked Illusion in New York City. She was asked about whether she would like to fill Perry's seat.

However, Pink ruled out the possibility as she is reportedly "not set up" to become the next American Idol judge.

"I don't like hurting people's feelings," she told Entertainment Tonight. "I like my day job."

Pink's comment referred to American Idol judges' job to give constructive criticism to the contestants, though some garnered condemnation for sounding "off."

She previously commented on Perry and Taylor Swift's feud, saying she regretted taking a side in the drama.

"I'm not inclined toward drama and feuds and soundbites," Pink revealed in a radio station interview. "They're like, 'Team Katy or Team Taylor?' And I said, 'Either way, I can't win-but Taylor?' And I should've just kept my mouth shut, because I don't believe that. I don't care. But I felt rushed and I didn't know what to do."

Meanwhile, Perry previously suggested the musician she would like to take over her role during her interview with E! News.

"I gotta say Jelly Roll was crazy when he came on the show. I was convinced at anything he said," she said, adding, "He could run for president, he could be my pastor, I might go back to church for him. He could sell me anything ... To have any of these guys plus Jelly on the show would be amazing. I love you, Jelly!"

The "Bottle and Mary Jane" singer appeared on the April 8 episode of American Idol as a guest mentor and coached the top 24 contestants in Hawaii and gave them positive advice.

Jelly Roll also reacted after Perry suggested he become her replacement, joking about "accepting the job" although he had not received an offer during his interview with Audacy.
