Back in 2023, singer Lewis Capaldi revealed his intention to step back from music, citing the exacerbation of his Tourette's condition during performances.
However, it seems the 27-year-old "Forget Me" hitmaker, diagnosed with the neurological condition two years ago, may have had a change of heart.
Recent sightings of Capaldi recording music alongside singer-songwriter Noah Kahan suggest a shift in his stance. Eagle-eyed fans observed Capaldi in the background of photos posted by Kahan on social media, standing in a studio with headphones on, poised in front of a microphone.
Noah's caption read, "There ain't nothing to report, but I hope you're bored and heading north."
But fans were having none of it. The caption failed to deter fans from speculating about Capaldi's involvement in new material.
One commented: "'Nothing to report' that is literally Lewis Capaldi in a studio w you sir."
One more fan cannot help but gush that the two are together, making actual music. The person wrote, "noah and lewis????? brb levitating." Another said, "Wait. Is that Noah Kahan and @lewiscapaldi ?!?! Recording music?!?" Many followed suit in asking the same question.
Another fan exclaimed, "Why is no one talking about the photo of him and Lewis Capaldi in the studio together?????"
Accompanied by a photo of Lewis, Noah tantalized fans further by sharing a snippet of a song, heightening anticipation among listeners.
In December last year, Lewis gave fans a health update as he wrote on X (then known as Twitter): "Firstly, I want to start this by saying I hope you're all doing well out there, I've missed you! As most of you will know, I'm currently taking some time off to focus on my health and wellbeing and it's been going great! I've been working with some incredible professionals to help me learn about and cope better with my Tourette's and anxiety issues."
He added: "I'm really happy to say I've noticed a marked improvement in both since I decided to take some time off back in June." And when talking about Lewis' health back in November, Roman Kemp praised the star for taking a step back. He said: "I implore artists to do it and I implore labels to allow artists to do it, to not put that much pressure on them and that is why Lewis Capaldi is a game changer. He is one of those artists that stood up and said that."
He added: "To be able to say you know what I'm not going to walk out in front of thousands of people, I'm not gonna walk out to adoring fans and people to sing my name every night.I'm gonna go back and I'm gonna look after myself, that my friends is a real f**king rockstar. That's Lewis Capaldi."
In other news, Noah Kahan graced the stage alongside Olivia Rodrigo in New York, treating fans to a rendition of his chart-topping single, "Stick Season."
Reflecting on potential collaborations, Rodrigo shared her admiration for Kahan during a January interview with Variety at the Governors Awards in Hollywood. When asked about her dream duet partner, she enthusiastically put forth Kahan's name, expressing, "Putting it out there in the universe... I love Noah Kahan. I think he's so great and he's very inspiring... One of these days."
