Lewis Capaldi sparked music comeback rumors after "clues" about the end of his hiatus surfaced.

Nearly a year ago, Capaldi announced an indefinite hiatus to focus on his mental health and deal with Tourette's syndrome. After a long wait, multiple news outlets revealed he might be on the stage again soon.

The Sun quoted a source who revealed Capaldi's status after spending time in his home studio with Dan D'Lion. The latter update sparked buzz he would probably be in the spotlight again soon.

"Lewis is doing really well, so much has changed in the past year," said the insider. "He has been looking after himself and getting lots of help and there's been a sea change in how he's feeling."

The source clarified, "There are no plans to return anytime soon but it's promising that he is back jamming with his mates and thinking about music. It looked touch and go whether he would want to, or be able, to return at one point. So things are really looking up."

This resonated with what his friend, JC Stewart, told the same news outlet. Per the pal, the "Someone You Loved" hitmaker was "doing great" after prioritizing his mental health.

In one of his most recent updates, Capaldi told his fans on New Year that he had been working closely with professionals who help him understand his health issue and cope better with it and his anxiety issues.

"As most of you will know, I'm currently taking some time off to focus on my health and wellbeing and it's been going great!" he said. "I've been working with some incredible professionals to help me learn about and cope better with my Tourette's and anxiety issues. I'm really happy to say I've noticed a marked improvement in both since I decided to take some time off back in June."

Capaldi marked his last performance at the Glastonbury, where he made headlines after "losing his voice" for a short time. He, however, gifted his fans with the extended version of his record with five new songs.

He shared more of his struggles in the Netflix film, Lewis Capaldi: How I'm Feeling Now. The flick shared his issues with anxiety and imposter syndrome while coping with the effects of his Tourette's battle.
