Amid public uproar over a video depicting Sean "Diddy" Combs' aggressive behavior towards his former girlfriend Cassie, sources close to the troubled rapper express concerns about the potential release of further incriminating videos.
The emergence of footage from CNN capturing the music mogul violently throwing his ex-girlfriend to the ground and launching a furious assault ignited a wave of criticism on Friday.
In the wake of the video's unexpected release, Diddy was taken aback and immediately sought guidance from his legal team.
Concerned about the possibility of additional disclosures, he has allegedly been in intense discussions with his attorneys to address the situation.
An insider revealed to the Daily Mail, "His team is bracing itself for the release of more videos and are now aware that some of the people who were paid to dispose of them may have kept copies."
Amid a flurry of allegations and legal battles accusing the artist of sexual misconduct, rape, and sex trafficking, the recent video has only added fuel to the fire. One of the lawsuits filed by Cassie was quietly settled out of court in November, further complicating the situation for the artist.
During urgent discussions with his legal representatives, the Bad Boy Records mogul and his legal team expressed concerns about potential future developments.
The insider added, "His people are also concerned about footage that may have been recorded at recording studios."
It was mentioned that CNN might be in talks with other individuals who possess incriminating videos, suggesting additional unreleased content held in secret.
The source close to Cassie shared her surprise at the sudden circulation of a video that had reportedly been "triggering" for her.
"She is just happy that she escaped him and is planning to write a book which will help other victims of domestic abuse escape from their wicked tormentors," the source claimed.
In a video captured at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles several years ago, Diddy is seen without a shirt and holding a towel around his waist as he pursues Cassie along a hallway.
Upon reaching an elevator, the "Me and You" singer's attempt to enter was thwarted when Diddy forcefully grasped her by the back of her head and forcefully brought her to the ground.
Standing tall, he delivered a forceful kick to her while she was lying still on the floor, then proceeded to snatch the two luxurious handbags she had attempted to flee with.
He then loomed over her, landing another kick before pulling her back to their chamber by her hoodie.
Following the resolution of their legal dispute, Cassie alleged that Diddy had compensated the hotel with $50,000 in exchange for the video footage of the incident.
