Kelly Rowland Reprimands Cannes Security Guard For Being 'Aggressive'

Kelly Rowland reprimanded a security guard for her overly aggressive behavior at the Cannes Film Festival.

The former Destiny's Child star boldly seems unapologetic about being perceived as a diva.

While at the premiere of the French film Marcello Mio on Tuesday, a female guard attempted to assist Rowland by holding up her arm to guide her up the iconic red steps.

Rowland's reaction to this gesture was less than favorable, as she scowled and raised her left index finger to reprimand the woman in front of the crowd.

According to an insider who spoke to the Daily Mail, the "Dilemma" singer was reportedly frustrated with the staff.

"The people who are assigned to helping stars walk the red carpet were being aggressive and [Rowland] was trying to ignore it."

"By the time [Rowland] got to the last woman she had had it because she scolded [Rowland] and told her to move when she was trying to wave to fans and help the paparazzi get their shot."

According to the information provided, the 43-year-old singer-actress, known for her role in Mea Culpa, was keen on establishing a firm boundary with the security personnel.

"She doesn't care if she comes across like a diva if she knows that she is advocating for herself. She isn't fake."

This comes after another diva moment from Rowland where she was embroiled in controversy after abruptly leaving the Today show set due to dissatisfaction with the dressing rooms.

The unexpected departure led to singer Rita Ora stepping in as a last-minute co-host.

In one episode, Rowland appeared on the 8AM segment before being scheduled to participate as a guest host for Today with Hoda & Jenna, taking over for Jenna Bush Hager in the fourth hour.

According to insider sources who spoke to Page Six, Rowland unexpectedly withdrew from the hosting duties at the last minute due to dissatisfaction with her dressing room, leaving Hoda Kotb scrambling to secure a replacement.

"[Rowland] and her team were not happy. They did not like the dressing room, so they decided to pull her off the show, leaving [Kotb] without a guest host for the 10 AM hour."

Following Rowland's unexpected departure, insiders at the show were left in a state of confusion.

A source expressed their bewilderment, stating, "She's beloved at Today. She was getting the full hour, and Hoda's the biggest hype woman on the planet! It made no sense."
