Céline Dion spoke about her health in an exclusive interview with Hoda Kotb.

Speaking on Today with Hoda & Jenna, Kotb gave a preview of her conversation with the Grammy-winning vocalist.

According to Kotb, she recently flew to Las Vegas to talk to Dion. Describing their conversation as "rare," the television host shared her insights after talking to the iconic singer.

"Céline Dion at some point-she is now much better-but at some point she almost died," Kotb claimed, as captured by E! News Online. "It was so jarring to me and moving-I couldn't believe what they were able to capture in that documentary."

Meanwhile, Kotb's exclusive interview with Dion will air on June 11, 2024, at Today on NBC.

In December 2022, Dion emotionally announced that she was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder called Stiff-Person Syndrome. In her upcoming Prime Video documentary, Dion will share with the public her journey in battling her illness for the first time ever.

"I have been diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder," Dion said in the trailer of the documentary that comes out June 25, 2024. "And I wasn't ready to say anything before. But I'm ready now."

In I Am Céline Dion, Dion will take her loyal fans on a journey as she prepares for her now-canceled Courage World Tour, to its cancellation, and her journey through recovery from the incurable disease.

"It's not hard to do a show, you know?," she said. "It's hard to cancel a show. But I have to admit, it's been a struggle. I miss it so much, the people. I miss them. If I can't run, I'll walk. If I can't walk, I'll crawl."

Dion's family has been very supportive of her journey toward recovery. Speaking to Tele 2 Semaines, as quoted by Hello!, on Jan. 24, 2024, Claudette Dion, Dion's sister, revealed that she had noticed her sister's symptoms as early as 2021.

"We know she's supported, she's an intelligent woman and we're not worried. We're not worried, because if it was very serious, we'd know about it," Claudette admitted before saying that she suffered from "leg cramps," which she described to be "a kind of twisted foot that's giving her muscle spasms in the leg."
