Tina Knowles and Kelly Rowland go way back as the latter grew up with her support, especially during the early days of Destiny's Child. More recently, Beyoncé's mom took to social media to praise the singer after her issue at the Cannes Film Festival red carpet, where she scolded a staffer.

Taking to her official Instagram account, Knowles shared a video of the singer posing for a photo with Evan Ross and Joe Jonas.

In the caption, she wrote, "And just like that, she @kellyrowland graces another carpet with her amazing glorious beauty, class and grace!!!!"

Rowland wore a different gown for yet another red carpet appearance, and she donned a lime green skirt and top.

"This just goes to show that one silly monkey, don't stop no-show!!! on to bigger and and better things," Knowles added.

The recent online post comes after Rowland attended the premiere of Marcello Mio in a red gown. As she walked up the iconic stairs, she could be seen scolding one of the staffers and even pointing her finger at her.

An expert lip reader interpreted the interaction, and the singer reportedly said, "Don't talk to me like that... You're not my mother. I told you not to talk to me like that."

A source told the Daily Mail that there were people assigned to help celebrities walk up the stairs of the red carpet, but when Rowland approached the last staffer, she lost her cool after initially brushing off others.

"She doesn't care if she comes across like a diva if she knows that she is advocating for herself. She isn't fake and wanted to set a clear boundary," the source said.

The 43-year-old singer finally spoke out about the incident in an interview with AP News, saying that the woman knew what had happened.

"I have a boundary and I stand by those boundaries... There were other women that attended that carpet who did not quite look like me and they didn't get scolded, or pushed off, or told to get off," she said.

Rowland then noted that she stood her ground and felt like the female staffer also had to stand hers.

As of this writing, the female security staff has not publicly released a statement sharing her side of what happened at the red carpet event.
