Billie Eilish is poised to challenge Taylor Swift's major achievement.

With determination, the young singer-songwriter strategically positions herself to claim the top spot in the music industry. Reports suggest that Eilish's latest album, released a week ago, is now being offered at a discounted price of $4.99 in a bold move to outshine Swift on the charts - and early signs indicate that her strategy is paying off.

After some investigation conducted by Radar Online, it has been revealed that multiple tracks from Eilish's new album Hit Me Hard and Soft have outperformed Swift's popular hits from The Tortured Poets Department on Spotify's Top 50 - USA.

In contrast to Swift's two songs, Eilish has eight songs to her name. "Fortnight," ranked 11, is followed by "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart", ranked 17. It is interesting to note that Swift's album TTPD has been available for a month.

Similarly, on iTunes, Eilish made her album available for a limited period at a discounted price of $4.99, showcasing the ingenuity of her strategic marketing team's team in guaranteeing the success of her third studio album.

The strategy is paying off, per the outlet, as Eilish's "Lunch" dominates the top spot on the Today's Hits list on iTunes, closely followed by her "Birds of a Feather" at number 8. Taylor's "Down Bad" currently sits at 15, per the latest update.

On April 19, 2024, Swift released her latest masterpiece, The Tortured Poets Department, marking her 11th musical offering to the world.

The "Guilty As Sin" singer said in an Instagram post upon its release, "The Tortured Poets Department. An anthology of new works that reflect events, opinions, and sentiments from a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time - one that was sensational and sorrowful in equal measure."

"This period of the author's life is over; the chapter closed and boarded up. There is nothing to avenge, no scores to settle, once wounds have healed."

"And upon further reflection, a good number of them turned out to be self-inflicted. This writer is of the firm belief that our tears become holy in the form of ink on a page. Once we have spoken our saddest story, we can be free of it. And then all that's left behind is the tortured poetry. THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT IS OUT NOW."

Meanwhile, on May 17, 2024, Eilish shared her latest creation: the third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft. The highly anticipated album was a collaborative effort with her brother and longtime partner in music, Finneas.

The 22-year-old shared in an Instagram post, "dude 'HIT ME HARD AND SOFT' my third album is f-----g out now i don't even know what to SAAYY...."

"@finneas and i put so much into this album and have never ever ever loved something more," the "ocean eyes" singer added. "we hope you enjoy it so much and i'll see you on the other side EEEEEEEEEEEEEK HMHAS OUT NOW EVERYWHERE LOVE YOU ALL TO DEAAAAATH!!!!"
