Fans have been waiting for Morgan Wallen to finally open his This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen in Nashville this weekend, but there were last-minute changes as his collaborator, the TC Restaurant Group, announced that they would be moving the opening date.

The organization issued a statement to Billboard, saying they're proud of every individual who has worked "tirelessly" to prepare the establishment for its opening date.

They added, "The ground-up construction of a six-story venue launching with hundreds of team members is a tremendous amount of work and a complex process."

The group added that when they open in the future, they wanted the bar to be "an exceptional experience for guests," but they noted that the process to provide that kind of service to the public "requires more time."

"We are not able to open and provide that experience this Memorial Day weekend. Rest assured it will be well worth the wait. We look forward to welcoming guests soon," they added.

As of this writing, Morgan Wallen and the TC Restaurant Group have yet to share an official opening date for the establishment.

A source told the outlet that the bar is still waiting for its final inspections. The insider declined to reveal whether the organization had been denied a catering license to sell alcoholic beverages. The source didn't also confirm if the establishment had already applied for the permit.

Although the recent news almost coincided with the Nashville Metro Council's denial of the bar's signage, the insider noted that postponing the opening date was unrelated to that issue.

In early reports, the council voted to reject plans for Wallen's 20-foot external sign to be placed on his new bar. Out of the 33 council voters, only three were in favor of the singer's plan.

Council member Delishia Porterfield said she voted no because she didn't want to see the name of "a person who's throwing chairs off of balconies and who is saying racial slurs," referring to Wallen's previous controversies.

On the other hand, council member Jordan Huffman has noted that the singer gave all of them a "bad name" because of his past issues.

As of this writing, Morgan Wallen has yet to issue an official statement regarding the matter.
