Barry Manilow's fans were disappointed after the singer canceled his farewell show hours before he was scheduled to take the stage.

The 80-year-old singer launched his nine-date The Last London Concerts residency at The London Palladium on May 25 as part of his farewell shows. The leg was scheduled to wrap up on June 9, but Manilow's Monday, May 27 show was canceled at the last minute due to "doctor's orders."

On Manilow's Instagram Stories, his team delivered the heartbreaking announcement regarding the show's postponement.

"Please hold on to your tickets until we can sort out rescheduling tonight's performance," part of the statement read. "We are very sorry we have to make this announcement and trust that tomorrow night's concert will go on as scheduled."

The "Somewhere Down the Road" hitmaker posted another update on Tuesday, May 28, disclosing that the show that night would go ahead as planned. On the other hand, the canceled May 27 show has been rescheduled for June 9.

Although some fans were disappointed, many others sent him positive messages to wish him well.

"So happy you've found a new date for the cancelled show last night. Keeping everything crossed he remains in good health," one said, while another wrote, "I just hope he is feeling better now.. surely he don't like to disappoint his fans... get well soon Barry."

"Thank you for confirmation of the rescheduling date after 27th cancellation. Hope you are feeling better. See you on 9th June," another fan shared.

Manilow has faced different health issues over the years, including atrial fibrillation (AFib) and an oral problem.

"When I first experienced AFib more than 15 years ago, it was really scary -- it felt like a fish flopping around in my chest," said Manilow. "I thought I knew about all the risks, but it turns out I didn't, so I was really lucky I had such great doctors helping me manage it from the start."

Meanwhile, the "What a Wonderful World" singer also underwent an emergency oral surgery in 2016 amid his then-final tour, One Last Time. He suffered from complications which led him to be rushed to a medical facility again. He was instructed not to talk, sing or rap for 48 hours after the procedure.
