Selena Gomez shared her thoughts about embarking on a new tour after she canceled her last Revival Tour in 2016.

Speaking to TIME, Gomez said that she's "50-50" about embarking on a major tour again.

"Nothing makes me happier than 90 minutes of being with my fans and just celebrating together," Gomez shared. "[However,] it is very emotionally draining for me and then you realize you're just surrounded by a bunch of people that you're paying."

Gomez canceled her Revival Tour in 2016 after suffering from the side effects of her Lupus condition, along with anxiety and depression. The singer-actress then checked into a rehabilitation facility eventually for treatment.

Gomez's touring journey was chronicled in her documentary, My Mind and Me. At one point in the film, the star spiraled down, saying that the preparation for her tour "looks so bad" and that she has no "idea what the f--k" she's doing.

"I get the voice that comes in my head that says, 'You missed this. That sucked.' ... It sucks the life out of me and I don't want to perform," she said.

It was initially revealed that the tour was because of her health issues. In the documentary film, some of Gomez's closest people revealed that the Revival Tour was canceled because of her "psychotic break."

"Her answer was, like, 'I don't know. I can't explain it. I wish you could feel what it feels like to be in my head,'" Gomez' close friend Raquelle Stevens remembered. "I just remember it being very chaotic, and she was hearing all of these voices. ... That triggered some sort of psychotic break."

Despite her indefinite hiatus from touring, Selenators could still support Gomez in many ways.

The "Who Says" singer has yet to release more music, although a full-length album seems unlikely yet.

Gomez can also be seen on the small and big screen in the coming years. The Golden Globe-nominated actress is returning for the fourth season of Only Murders in The Building with Martin Short, Steve Martin, and Meryl Streep.

She recently shared the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress with Karla Sofía Gascón, Zoe Saldaña, and Adriana Paz for their outstanding portrayal of their characters in the 2024 musical crime comedy film Emilia Pérez. Gomez is also cast to portray music icon Linda Ronstadt in an upcoming musical biopic.
