Donald Trump made history on Thursday (May 30) by becoming the first American president to be convicted of a crime when a New York jury found him guilty of falsifying financial documents to cover up a payment to porn star Stormy Daniels in advance of the 2016 election.

The news got the attention of at least a few well-known musicians, who took to social media to share their thoughts.

Jane Wiedlin, a guitarist in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees the Go-Go's, was among the most vocal, sharing a few posts to her Instagram and Facebook accounts.

First, Wiedlin posted a screenshot of MSNBC with Rachel Madow on the screen and a graphic noting the former president was found guilty on 34 counts with the headline "Donald Trump Found Guilty on All Counts." Wiedlin captioned the post, "Finally some justice!"

A few hours later, Wiedlin shared a "Trump List of Firsts" carousel, chronicling various unflattering accomplishments by the former president. She captioned that post, "He's Numero Uno. #KarmasABitch." Others, including Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band guitarist Stevie Van Zandt simply shared the news. "Guilty on all 34 counts," he posted.

Among the most vocal musicians has been Mikel Jollett, frontman of alt-rock band the Airborne Toxic Event. Jollett put up several posts relating to Trump's conviction on X, formerly Twitter.

"I honestly don't understand the argument that Trump has been the victim of a political hit job," he wrote in one post. "Biden didn't convict him, a jury did. Unanimously. Even the juror who said he got his news from Truth Social voted to convict ON ALL 34 FELONY COUNTS."

While noted Trump supporters Kid Rock and Ted Nugent hadn't weighed in when we last checked, another vocal Trump supporter showed no sign of changing his mind due to the conviction. If fact, "I'm Proud to Be an American" singer Lee Greenwood reposted a photo of himself with Trump with the caption encouraging supporters to buy Bibles to help the former president. "President Trump and America need your prayers!" Greenwood posted. "He is trying to defend the constitution for us all! Support him and get your Bible today!"
