Jennifer Lopez allegedly warned Jennifer Garner about maintaining distance from Ben Affleck amid swirling rumors about their marriage potentially heading for divorce.
Speculations suggest that the 54-year-old "All I Have" singer is displeased with the ongoing encounters between her husband and his former wife as their relationship navigates through a challenging phase.
Shortly following their attendance at their son's basketball game in Santa Monica on May 19, Garner was spotted with her ex-husband once more. The three children they share - Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12 - were absent from the scene as Garner arrived at the opulent Brentwood residence, where Affleck has been residing amidst turbulence in his relationship with Lopez reportedly costing $100,000 a month.
As reported by insiders who spoke to Life and Style magazine, this situation is one that Lopez has encountered numerous times.
"Everyone knows that [Affleck] and [Garner] remained very close after their divorce. He confides in [Lopez] about everything, even his issues with [Lopez]."
"[Lopez] hates that [Affleck] goes back to his sensible, down-to-earth ex-wife for advice and emotional support. She doesn't want [Garner's] input."
Contrary to the report, sources close to the Atlas actress have refuted the claim. Lopez has also publicly made her stance known.
According to the source, "[Lopez] didn't come right out and tell [Garner] to back off - both women have been down this road before and know their boundaries - but she did tell [Affleck] that his ex needs to stay away from him and butt out of their personal drama."
"[Affleck] then relayed the message to [Garner]."
