Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez could not hide the tension in their marriage during their recent outing, a body language expert claimed.
On Sunday, June 2, Affleck and Lopez were pictured together again when they attended the basketball game of "Justice League" actor's son, Samuel, in Santa Monica, Calif. Photos from the outing showed the pair sharing a kiss on the cheek when they greeted each other.
While they reportedly looked cordial at the time, there was a "lack of PDA" between the pair.
Body language expert Bianca Cobb spoke with Fox News Digital and commented on Bennifer's kiss on the cheek, saying it was something a person would do when they see a friend.
"Even his stance, the way his body is angled, is more platonic than romantic. And his feet are in a runner's pose, as if he's there for a few seconds before he moves on," the expert explained. "If the couple is having relationship difficulties, then it makes sense. When you love someone, and you're going through a hard time, you might show reserved affection."
According to Cobb, the way Affleck and Lopez stood during the reunion also showed a lack of intimacy between the pair, who married in 2022.
The "On the Floor" singer's body language was said to be "more reserved and protective," which suggests her emotional state. She also reportedly looked guarded as she held her purse close to her.
"It's intriguing to note that both are holding something that prevents them from physically connecting, a poignant detail," Cobb continued. "This physical distance, often a response to relationship issues, can be a source of emotional turmoil, a feeling many of us can relate to."
During the June 2 outing, Affleck's ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, was also pictured at the game.

It marked Affleck and Lopez's latest public appearance after the singer canceled her This Is Me... Live tour on May 31. Previous reports suggested the trek received underwhelming support, just like the flop that happened to Lopez's album and documentary.
Live Nation said in a statement that the tour's cancelation would allow Lopez to be with her children, family and close friends.
The "Let's Get Loud" singer shared a similar message on her On the JLo website, writing, "I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn't do this if I didn't feel that it was absolutely necessary."
