Celine Dion is rumored to be in talks to kick off the upcoming Olympic Games with a spectacular performance.

Concerns arose that the 56-year-old Canadian singer may never take the stage again following the cancellation of her world tour last year due to a rare neurological condition.

New reports emerging from beyond the Channel indicate Dion is set to perform as one of the two opening acts at the Paris 2024 event, according to the Daily Mail.

In a recent conversation with Hoda Kotb, scheduled for release on Tuesday, June 11, she hinted she might be opening the Olympics, "I've chosen to work with all my body and soul, from head to toe, with a medical team. I want to be the best I can be. My goal is to see the Eiffel Tower again."

Speculations have surfaced suggesting that President Emmanuel Macron personally selected the celestial performers for the event and allocated $3 million from government funds, a claim vehemently refuted by the Elysee Palace.

The Paris Olympics is happening from July 26, 2024 until August 11, 2024.

This potential return to the spotlight for Dion could mark a significant resurgence, especially considering her public disclosure in the previous year regarding her battle with the debilitating health condition.

The "My Heart Will Go On" singer also bravely discussed her journey dealing with Stiff-Person Syndrome. The renowned singer vividly described the experience, likening it to feeling as though someone is constricting her throat, causing immense discomfort.

She experiences spasms so severe that they have resulted in broken ribs.

During an interview in April 2024, Dion expressively shared insights into her rigorous training routine.

"It can be in the abdominal. It can be in the spine, in the ribs. But it feels like if I point my feet, it will stay in it...Or if I cook, my fingers or my hands will get in position. It's cramping, but it's like you're in the position of you cannot unlock them."

In a preview for her upcoming documentary, I Am: Celine Dion, scheduled for release on June 25 on Prime Video, she expressed her readiness to speak out about her condition.

Dion first announced her documentary on Instagram, saying, "This last couple of years has been such a challenge for me, the journey from discovering my condition to learning how to live with and manage it, but not to let it define me."
