Charli XCX just entered a new era of music with the release of her latest album, Brat, and Camila Cabello is set to drop her upcoming record C, XOXO. More recently, fans accused the former Fifth Harmony member of copying the British singer because of her latest vinyl variant.

Taking to X, fans expressed their frustrations as Cabello unveiled some of the vinyl variants of her upcoming record on Instagram, which many fans believed was based on the pop singer's latest album cover.

The new vinyl variants were a part of her 7-Eleven merch pop-up in Miami, FL, ahead of the release of her album.

Charli's Brat album cover features a plain lime green background and low-resolution text that reads "brat" in the middle.

On the other hand, one of Cabello's variants seemingly featured almost the exact artwork: a blue background with stretched-out text that reads "C, XOXO."

"Is camila and charli having an inside joke with each other or are they beefing," one wrote. "Not her trying to copy Charli's font She really a snake in sheep's clothing," one added.

Some people defended Camila, saying Charli wasn't the first one to have this kind of concept; one wrote, "idk why yall think camila copying charli, shes obviously going for a miami sound, trap rappers, spring breakers aesthetic, and charli is none of that..."

As of this writing, neither of the two artists addressed the controversy on social media.

This wasn't the first time Cabello was accused of copying Charli as many believed that her lead single, "I Luv It," sounded similar to the pop singer's track, "I Got It."

In response, Charli seemingly addressed the issue by sharing a video of herself featuring her song while she was riding a car, which was what Cabello did in the teaser of her track.

Cabello responded to the accusations in an interview with Paper, saying she loves Charli and her music, adding, "I think [comparing us is] a huge compliment. Charli loves me, so everybody can f*** off."

The singer's upcoming record, C, XOXO, will be available for streaming starting June 28, 2024. Charli's Brat is now available everywhere, but the musician just announced that her record will have "three more songs" and will be released today.
