Later on, she gave fans an insight into her music plans during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, saying she's starting over on her new album.

"Yeah, I'm starting over... But I don't want to neglect the songs that I have, so I actually want to go back and listen to stuff with new ears, with my new perspective and then see what applies and what I'm still in love with," she added.

Rihanna further explained that music is "a new discovery" for her, and she's currently rediscovering things. She noted that she has been working on her ninth studio album for a long time, to the point that she "kinda put all that stuff aside."
