Rihanna has been an iconic musician for many years now, and it's only fitting for her to have her biopic that will tackle her life from when she was younger in Barbados up to taking over the world with her music and makeup brand. More recently, the musician revealed which artist she wanted to portray her in a possible movie.

The singer spoke with E! News for an interview on the red carpet of her Fenty Hair launch earlier this week. She was asked by the outlet if there were any stars she wanted to embody in a movie.

Without hesitation, Rihanna immediately answered Taylor Russell, popularly known for starring in the movie Escape Room.

She further explained that the actress's physical attributions greatly influenced her decision, adding, "You know why? Because she's got, like, a nice forehead."

"She's, like, fly. And I feel like I want to be her, so I want her to pretend to be me. I want people to see me in that light," the musician added.

The recent news comes after she spoke with Extra to clarify her t-shirt that says "I'm Retired," saying she's not leaving the entertainment industry anytime soon.

"Yeah, I'm starting over... But I don't want to neglect the songs that I have, so I actually want to go back and listen to stuff with new ears, with my new perspective and then see what applies and what I'm still in love with," she said.

The "Where Have You Been" songstress added that music is a "new discovery" for her, and she wanted to rediscover things, noting that after she worked on her next album for a long time, she "kinda put all that stuff aside."

Today, Rihanna is ready to return to the studio and start working on the record. However, she has yet to reveal the official release date of her next project.

Her last album, Anti, was released in 2016. Since then, the musician has gone on a music hiatus until making a short comeback in 2022 with the release of "Lift Me Up" for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
